Been playing since d1 beta, but wow the toxicity ever since shadowkeep came out lfgs have been terrible and yes i make my own post a lot, you write on a post teaching someone a raid and you get people in there that freak out while clearly knowing we are teaching someone. 1 in every 3 raids are like this or even lfgs for nightmare hunts or nightfalls anymore, some people have different skill levels than others, im not saying im a great player but triple digit full raid clears and i still get the ignorance sometimes, im honestly to the point where i dont even wanna this game anymore, need to bring back the perma bans like in halo, bungie wasnt scared todo it back then, why not now, dont get me wrong i met alot of good people as well but theres wayyy more bad than good anymore

Stop using LFG. If you’re on PC the discord finds me a group that has a good time in seconds.

2 RepliesI saw a 969 guardian asking for guardians above 990+ for the 980 nightfall and he had the cheek to write I can hold my own at the end of the post.

Nothing’s changed.

Mainly the reason I've backed off from raiding in D2. I want to find a solid group and really the clan I'm in now has that. It's bad that my time zone is way off and all that, but we've ran all kinds of different things together now. I want to get back into the raids again and hopefully I can back off from LFG more.

1 ReplyDo what I used to do in D1 when I chose to raid: When someone joins, be stern with your tone. Make sure they read it and still reiterate what you're looking for in a raid group even if they say yes. If someone's attitude becomes problematic, you're the one in charge of your group. You're under no obligation to keep going with them. Kick them. Decent people will understand. If others leave, that's on them. They're not obligated to wait. You have to understand both you and them are accepting the potential waste of time when PUG raiding. But people who stick around are worth building a network with for later raids. That's how you meet worthwhile people and how you get stuff done. I didn't raid much in D1, but I still got all the gear and exotics because I simply took charge and didn't settle for raiding with shitty ass people. Met some damn good people I miss playing with. Wish I knew how catch up with them in real life just to know if they're doing well or not.

1 ReplyWhy don’t You make your own LFG post so You kick the elitist muppets Your post your rules

I don’t even care if my ranking goes down, that’s what happened during SK anyway. I just get my stuff then stop, it’s not worth it without a consistent team

ever since shadowkeep came out lfgs have been terrible
It was bad well before Shadowkeep came out. I get some angry people despite the fact i say on my post that I havent done an activity before. They probably angry because their time is limited and they didn't read my post but all the same people should chill a bit. I think my task this week is to find a clan and hopefully I won;t have to use LFG quite so often.

1 ReplyThis game doesn’t need matchmaking, use LFG, this is easy.

It’s far from enjoyable in this environment. Shame really because all that loot and game design wasted on the few.

What I’ve noticed since multiplayer/coop has been a thing on console is in the beginning people used mics and were chatting in nearly every lobby but these days it’s extremely rare that I’m in a lobby and hear people talking. I expect that’s the result of the people you speak of.

1 ReplyTrue +10 points for taking the time to scroll through all the Paid carries

Yaeh, there's a lot of toxicity around on LFG, but there are also fun groups. I am at the point where if a group becomes too toxic I will ditch them; it is better to "rage quit" than put up with jerks. There is also the option of creating your own group, and kicking people if they get out of line.

I can't find any posts besides paid carries 👍

People using "anymore" incorrectly anymore.

10 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 2/18/2020 9:30:33 AMNot really saying much. D1 LFG was incredibly toxic as well. "MUST HAVE GJALLARHORN!!!!1" was running wild. It wasn't uncommon for players missing the weapon to be treated poorly.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 2/18/2020 7:36:25 AMI always recommend folks to join a big discord centralized clan that has it's own LFG-channel for this purpose. You're quaranteed to find groups when the discord is big enough (multiple in-game clans) and mannerless folks aren't a problem in that enviroment.

2 RepliesWe used to be able to write prose in our lfg posts to better convey what we're looking for. This was resulting in too many successful completions though and the streamer secret society had Bungie put an end to that. So now we only get 50 characters in the title.

4 RepliesEdited by Rain: 2/18/2020 2:43:11 AMYou've been around but I guess you forgot lfg has always been toxic. Ghorn was a must to get into an lfg group for crota. As for lfg at this point you could always make your own post? Not everyone wants to or has time to carry/teach people.

1 ReplyEdited by Artisan: 2/17/2020 10:17:39 PMI agree, there's great folks and then there's people you wonder where their life and social skills went to or how come they never developed in the first place. A lot of deludedly big egos, lots of folks with ZERO patience. It can also be like that in clans, great people and utter *******rs. What I hate particularly though is Bungie's INSISTENCE you CANNOT play solo. Or you can...but you'll be denied all the top loot, all the easy farming, all the expensive content for no better reason than enforcing a mandatory game promotion.
