I love Bungie. Although I am not blind to their mistakes or mishaps, I cannot think of a better developer to give this to. Congrats Bungie. Here's to keeping up the good work and making improvements.

Bungie is actually a decent developer/publisher compared to some of the other ones out there. Blizzard, EA, Bethesda u name it. Oh yeah also bioware with Anthem lol.

Bungie have made mistakes but have also been great with communication since the end of D2 Y1. There are far less fan boys then there are moaning short sighted keyboard warriors who think they can do a better job. Played maybe less than one hour of Halo across all its iterations and don’t feel any loyalty to Bungie but Destiny has been a great game for me that’s had its ups and downs and I’ve enjoyed it overall. I’ve been very happy with Bungie’s insights and updates throughout its life.

It's reddit. They collectively cream their fanboy pants whenever coz or dmg post one of their "i'Ll lEt tHe tEaM knOw" snippets from the monthly rotation. If they post twice a week even you usually get some moron creating a thread to specifically thank them for their hard work in pretending to not ignore us. It's all cognitive dissonance. These diehard delusional fanboys desperately want, or outright need to believe that someone actually gives a shit at Bungie, despite all evidence pointing the other way.

At best, it's an award rewarding Devs for addressing community concerns that the community shouldn't have. Even if they didn't fix them. "Thanks for your feedback, we have passed it onto the team"

if u dont know how this works, i can and will give u a asmall example. as u maybe already seens by yourself, the voters was mostly based on " magazines,stores,newspapers and other media and sports stuff". here in germany it was some newspapers like bild,frankfurter allgemeine wuppertaler rundschau and some magazines. all of them got paid by bungie for the votes.thats a common thing. many companys who are in such votes phone arround asking for support, and they get it. the only thing i can say for 100000% sure is, that the wuppertaler rundschau got paid from bungie .i know because my cousin is working at the managemant of this company.i know and seen the booking on the bank account. but i wont say how much bungie paid because it dosent matter. we all know that bungie lost 2 important streamers some time ago, they went on to the next game. but suddenly after 1 talk with bungie they came back.. out of the blue....creepy or ?^^ be sure behind this was a payment too. so for the award now: we all know bungie is by far more away from being a community company....they dont even have a legit phone number for a support, they dont have a propper adress for support after all. all they got are some adreesses, in empty office in some office complexes around the states. u can check them up if u want, u can see it by yourself. every other bigger companys have at least a phone number for account support stuff, even if it is a free to play game they are running. bungieand this is a fact too, is basicaly -blam!-ing the community over and over since months. and all are to blind to see it, and undertsand it.even if all point with a finger on it. bungie did not won the award, they bought it

Bungie listens, they show this when they implement "solutions". Problem: too often the "community" really means "streamers" who cause MUCH more harm than they will ever offer benefit. (-blam!- streamers) Problem: the "solution" that they implement very rarely actually solves the problem, and more often than not writes in ADDITIONAL problems. Bungie: Infusion is too costly? We'll make it cost 10 times what you pay now, you can thank us later. Bungie: Affinity sucks, remove it from the game? We'll let you CHANGE affinity and it'll only cost you a veritable FORTUNE. Bungie: Whisper is awesome and you love it, don't want any change? That's not what streamers told us, we'll just "adjust" that so that no one will ever use it again. You can thank us now. I could keep going but I'm sure you get the point. Bungie, under Luke Smith, is not interested in what the community desires in this "game as a service". Bungie is only interested in what will cause the players to invest more time. Whether they are enjoying that time or not is completely immaterial. After all, we are just the consumer. What company in a capitalistic economy ever cared about satisfying their customers s/.

Fortnite was made game of the year over Red Dead Redemption 2. Game awards are hosted by bathoons and sponsors anyways. LOL!

Problem is, every other developer is worse. Except Digital extremes!
