A sniper ( a one hit kill gun) should not be able to be not flinched after getting shot 6 time by an autorifle

2 RepliesThis is some kind of joke right??

2 RepliesYou ever snipe? It's hard to shoot accurately when getting shot.

28 RepliesAgree.... they will be horrific in trials

1 ReplySniper crutches will cry but sniper flinch needs to be increased.

Honestly reading some of your replies just appalling. This OHK meta has brainwashed people if they even had general game knowledge/awareness before. Also OP if you're using an auto rifle in this meta I'm sorry your point is just invalidated immediately

1 ReplyYou can beat a sniper in the face with a school bus and he’ll still headshot you, flinch is a joke in destiny 2 and people who tell you sniping is hard are lying to themselves to feel good about not using shotguns
-
16 RepliesSpam crouch strafing and hitting every hand cannon headshot just to get your head taken off but someone with a quickdraw snapshot beloved is probably the most annoying way to die in this game right now. I dont think flinch should be increased but reworked. Flinch should be consistent because right now it is random; sometimes it is too much and sometimes too little.
-
There's something strange with flinch in this game. I'd say even numbered shots make your view snap back to relatively on target, but my first hand experience seems to contradict that. I think it's just that the guns flinch the same every time, so it seems to be pretty easy to compensate for. IDK, flinch across the game is -blam!-ed.
-
The flinch is crazy in this game. I play on PC and some guns flinch you like crazy even with mods on. Sometimes it will flinch you on target, but more often it will mess up your aim and you'll miss the shot. There's a lot of variables to this scenario. Did they line up the shot between your shots from a pulse or HC? Are they good at correcting their aim? Is bullet magnetism too strong? Is aim assist too strong especially in combination with magnetism. Is it because p2p is so out of sync half the time god only knows what one player see's vs another persons perspective? Peer to Peer in combination with magnetism and high aim assist make this game feel BS quite frequently. I don't think flinch in itself is the issue personally.
-
Destiny is probably the only game I've played with ridiculous aim assist on snipers. They still take some degree of aim and positioning to use though.
-
I agree, I hate shooting a sniper twice and still seeing the red gaze because I know that I’m still going to die even though I was hitting my shots
-
Agreed, How can a sniper be getting pulsed with high cal rounds and still make the shot during a burst landing. So stupid. I did watch an Mtashed video explaining this but either way it shouldn't happen.

1 ReplyI shot a guardian in the face with my night watch that has explosive rounds twice and he still headshot me.
-
10 RepliesGit gud. Obviously never held a sniper rifle. There is too much flinch.

The problem is it’s predictable. I just aim low, get shot from the front and reticle goes right to the dome every time. Getting shot from the side is a different story. So only way to counter it is hope they miss, dome them first, or don’t challenge at all

Edited by Machine_DNA: 2/18/2020 1:12:07 PMI think adjusting flinch would make PvE worse. I’d reduce aim assist significantly across the board so when you are flinching them, the cross hair is less likely to fixate back on your guardian - would also add more ‘skill’ to them. I like snipers, always have but they will be the overbearing meta (particularly Revoker) when trials comes back.
-
1 ReplyIt does flinch, but flinch works both for and against you.
-
Flinch needs to matter.
-
1 ReplyI totally agree sniper flinch needs to be looked at before starting trials, cuz snipers are always really strong in that game mode.
-
18 RepliesI wish they'd just remove the 1 shot headshot..
-
1 ReplyProblem is that flinch aims for you. Every other shot you land will auto aim to your head and if the person can time this you’ll get slapped every time. Flinch needs to actually punch their aim off target not free crit.
-
Problem is that flinch acts like a lightswitch. Hit someone once to knock off their aim. Hit them again for it to center onto your forehead.

You realize that two things affect flinch. The amount of impact the gun has that you're using and the range your using it at. So a low impact AR shooting from a long distance wont do much flinching. And based on your description 6 headshots didn't put him down sounds like it's a low impact from a distance outside it normal range.
