This is how game developers look at the player experience and just how important it is to them. A few posts on a forum mean very little. The video isn't recent, but it gives a lot of insight into the way game development works and how complex it really is.

Comments seem to suggest that for all the research Bungie does, they just go with their own personal assumption anyway and it ends up backfiring. Sounds accurate

Most commenters on this forum don't represent the general player base. Hell, some of the most vocal ones don't even play or haven't played in quite a while. And a lot of them don't have a clue.

I meant the video, but ok. The ones trying to be critical, the ones that seemed to actually watch it Obviously a few people, but I wouldn't put it past them to just not analyze the details properly if they were going to make a detailed comment
