I can’t gain any glory because people constantly leave in a winnable game and I can’t gain progress, because people leave in survival and it’s a team game and if you lose one person on your team you basically lose.

1 ReplyEdited by Swiftlock: 2/18/2020 9:20:17 PMBad idea. Players would abuse the crap out this. Someone could be designated to leave a match so that their teammates don't lose glory.
-
Bump for saying “lose” and not “loose”.
-
This will never happen so you guys need to stop asking for it. It’s easily exploited, end of story.
-
While it's easily abuse able in regular Competitive I think this would work well in Freelance.
-
How about just getting rid of glory loss? Instead make losing reward 0 glory, absolutely no reward at all. Then make winning the only possible way to gain glory.
-
This would lead to other problems. For example, you could run with friends trying to help you get to legend. You guys are losing, the nominated person quits so you don’t lose points. Once you make legend, you are the nominated person to quit so the other guy gets to legend.

22 RepliesEdited by Sweet Lew 88: 2/16/2020 2:05:38 AMYou dont lose points because you lose team mates, its because you lose. Can you find team mates that dont leave games? ALso you could abuse that feature, if you start losing, just have a friend leave the game, no points loss. If you are playing solo, you are choosing to play with people you dont know, people that may not care about winning or any objectives. When I solo i play to win but dont mind losing. I was able to solo queue in Comp from 2100 to 5450 glory, finishing up on Monday. None of my team mates left in 51 games.

Any glory protection system bungie could implement would get abused by players, that's why bungie hasn't made one.
-
While I agree a fix needs to be made, your suggestion will cause hackers, share players, and cheaters to run rampant in comp....FAR worse than what they already do.
-
2 Repliesno as people would just leave to stop the lose.
-
1 ReplyI thought about this too, but having that system in play would be HIGHLY abusable. "Hey bud, we are getting wrecked. You wanna take one for the team and leave so we don't lose any Glory?"
-
11 RepliesDon't feel bad, i just got banned from a clan just now because I asked to have help to do a exotic quest... Yep. I haven't been online since launch and re-downloaded and went from 750 to 907 light in one night cause of my schedule. Been trying to grind since I already did my homework on the quest and knew what to expect. So I ask politely if anyone in the clan would help out, (it was for the whisper of the worm exotic). I get bashed, criticized, and then booted from the clan entirely for asking to do a simple quest??? That's ridiculous. I see the bungie fanboys still exist after 5+ years.

I could give a flying fcuk about glory points and besides causing sweatys to loose glory is so much fun. fcuk the sweatys
-
Agreed, though with limitations. If someone leaves in the first two rounds or something. That way you can't abuse it by leaving at the very end.

That’s pretty much all I do now is kill myself to lose on purpose. Since when I do actually carry the team but teammates wanna do their own thing instead of staying together and using mics, then I give them the finger and blow myself up. I don’t quit, but I will lose on purpose. So here’s a suggestion for you wannabe players, practice in Rumble before you decide to play comp. Learn to use a mic in game chat instead of with your party. I’ve played so many games this season carrying skrubs like you only to lose because there was no communication. You’re not a godly player, so chat with your team and work together. If that’s not for you, then go back to normal Crucible.

I was trying to help a friend and two games in a row our blueberry backed out before the game started. It’s actually dumb.

1 ReplyIf a < 1 KD person leaves, the remaining two have a better chance of winning.
-
4 RepliesIt’s about time they change the Glory playlist from Survival. Clash and control should be on the rotation as well
-
In survival, if you've got a bad teammate, it's a bonus when they leave. They can't steal your lives anymore.

1 ReplyI feel like there has to be a way that bungie can tell the difference between someone getting a disconnect and someone that deliberately quits a match. They should do more to keep people from quitting, and I feel they should just end the match in a draw if a round starts without full teams. No glory gained or lost for either team. However, to keep people from abusing this they should have a steep glory penalty for deliberately leaving the game early. So then people will just purposefully disconnect to exploit the system? Then have some sort of penalty after multiple disconnects, either fix your internet or stop deliberately disconnecting otherwise you get punished. I feel like it shouldn't be too difficult to implement these things, but I'm guessing their terrible peer to peer system is at the core of these issues.

Wait this is still a thing people -blam!- about. Well I have been telling people to jump on board with you lose you don’t lose glory and you can only gain any glory by winning. No one wants it so I give up.
-
I've told a teammate in solo que to leave. He left and we won lol.
-
I can’t gain any glory because people constantly leave in a winnable game and I can’t gain progress, because people leave in survival and it’s a team game and if you lose one person on your team you basically lose.
This sounds like a system that can easily be gamed. Maybe just find some friends to play with and stop trying to make the game bend to your needs?

1 ReplyI’ve won many games with just 2v3, and I’m not great! I’ve also lost a lot of 2v3’s
-
3 RepliesThat has cost me sooo many wins while I was going for mida catalyst Each time I got to legend and went to play the next game I would get a 2v3 or get kicked to orbit or get bad teammates that will leave after one round 🤪

I mean, sometimes it's beneficial And sometimes you get triple-teamed from three angles
