Bungie Appreciation Post. (Please read if you have a heart)

I would just like to give a quick shoutout to all Bungie employees who have worked and worked to give us the Destiny we have today. Whilst many people out here are complaining about this, that, or other, Bungie employees are working around the clock to keep the game running, doing their best to improve it, getting ready for the launch of a new season with a possible return of fan-favorite game mode, dealing with patches and bugs, and also are in the process of designing the base of another game. They’re doing this all by themselves and I feel that they deserve some appreciation rather than constant attack after attack after attack. Bungie employees have worked their tails off to give you what you have today. Whether you think that’s good or bad, you have to admit that you’re happy to at least have a game to play. Bungie Devs and employees all have lives outside of work too and we have no idea what they might’ve sacrificed to give you even the slightest of new content. How do you think it makes them feel when they see people tearing up and raging about content they worked so hard on and not even once seeing anyone say “well actually, I think Bungie did a really good job on so and so”. I think that today, we should all give credit to Bungie for what they have give us. From friendships, to memories, to sad moments, and (I’m sure it’s happened) relationships/marriages. I think that all Bungie employees, from the lowest paying job at Bungie to the high paying job at Bungie, deserve a round of applause and a giant thank you from the entire fan-base. So Thank You Bungie for all you have done for us. Oh, also, to all you Bungie Employees Happy Valentines Day!! (To all of you who are about to rage on this post, take a good look at yourself and think “Do I really need to wasted time ruining someone’s day?” Because if the answer is yes. Then I hope that somewhere in your life you have a wake up call where you actually learn to be human.)

  • Ya know I dont mind people appreciating bungie... If you're here after what 5 -6 years of destiny? Then the bloody studio did something right. Granted, they have messed up some of the simplest things out there and have been on a downward spiral since shadowkeep.... But one thing that bugs me beyond disbelief.......... "If you have a heart"????>>><<< seriously? who even says that?

  • Ah, a thinly veiled attempt to lecture the community for not bending over and taking it up the ass, from our resident self righteous Bungie sycophant. Lovely.

  • This post seethes of arrogance to me. So, you want us all to appreciate and respect both YOUR OPINION and the game itself, right?? But you don't want to respect the opinion of OTHERS in the process?? GTFOH! I have always respected the work and dedication to this game. But dedication goes BOTH WAYS. I'm dedicated to it so much that it's played more than any other game I own. I've also spent money on this game, same as others. With that being said, RESPECT MY OPINION about the faults of the game. As well as you want us to just lay our appreciation hands on the dedicated employees making it better. If you can't respect the opinion on BOTH SIDES, then please stop with the kissing of just one butt cheek.

  •
“Do I really need to wasted time ruining someone’s day?”
What, like bungie have done for a lot of people that used to love destiny? As touching as your destiny love story is, you can’t be pissed at people because they have higher standards than yourself when it comes to games they play/played. Now you have yourself a fantastic day 👍

I hate posts that pretend to do that as a cover to lecture and insult other players for giving their opinion and feedback on the forums.

      • If a waiter brings you a refill of your soda in a timely fashion, it is polite to thank them. If they check in on you and make sure you are enjoying your meal, it's polite to give them a tip for a job well done. If a waiter tells you what you want, still forgets what you ordered, and then ignores you. You don't owe them a tip. If the waiter strolls over to your table after ignoring you and spills hot coffee on your lap, more than once... No one is going to judge you for getting a little angry and you certainly shouldn't be thanking them.

        • good grief D2 is a game on the back burner, hardly any new development going on and not a lot of Dev support for the many player concerns. even the pay store has hardly any new items month after month. -yes there are functional early and mid game aspects... leveling up can be quite fun -there are many instances where complex mod and game mechanics are wasted or ignored by Dev. -there is NO guidance for new players at all that i can see... D2 is a pile of uncoordinated content that requires massive research by players to figure out, unlike any other game i've experienced. -end game activities are flawed by more instances of truly ANNOYING difficulty mechanics than any other FPS i've ever experienced. bosses and mini bosses that can damage the player but are immune to damage until some silly complex mechanic is completed, adds that teleport, bombardments that target players who have just respawned, the list goes on. I've seen many instances where professional game writers talk about the annoying aspects of end game play in D2. it's as if some sadistic 12 year old designed end game play in D2. -PvP is a mess and widely known to be unbalanced and unpleasant for players. so some good and bad, but hardly worthy of devout thanks for a job well done

        • Bungie employees are getting paid to work on this game. Video game devs are not your friends. Destiny is a capitalist venture. Pick a comment that is saying something bad about Bungie. The current Director of Destiny got his job by doing just that, except he trashed the game that put the company that pays his bills on the map and the aspect that he choose to direct his anger at? PvP, let that sink in. Not saying he caused this mess all on his own, he inherited by most accounts a nightmare of a game to work on and countless changes in upper positions have done nothing to help to overall direction of the game. That said dude should never have been in this position to begin with and after four years of driving the player base and just about every company that has helped carry the load away it maybe time to hand over the game to someone else.

        • Nope. This is a business, buddy. Bungie certainly treats Destiny's monetization as such, why oh why can't us the customers ask for quality. Negative. Rebuked. Keep it civil, but we need to make our voices heard.

        • Let's also have one for coka-cola and the oil companies like BP and Shell , their hard work and dedication and countless man hours to make sure we have the fuel for our vehicles to get to our destination and soda to drink so we don't dehydrate. You see how silly and rediculous that sounds? They do these things to make profit. If you wan't to thank someone for a thankless job, go thank a fire fighter, a teacher,go thank a homeless vet or go to the redcross website https://www.redcross.org/?cid=generic&med=cpc&source=google&scode=RSG00000E017&gclid=CjwKCAiAp5nyBRABEiwApTwjXob4jmjjheqwBJWZHiASBSB8y4V3KWiNzwCE9XQZs7qoSPbHvWnaiBoC2ugQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds there's a forum, you can thank them there. They even have a red heart emblem so it fits into your theme for valentine's day.

                  • Don't let the responses get you down. The haters will defend the other haters. It's how it works. I feel personally that my money was well spent, ever since I got here from TTK. This was one of my first video games I grinded. It's got a special spot in my heart. I will admit, Bungie has some things that need addressing, but the game isn't unplayable by any means.
