Just asking. Which do you think it better and why? Keep it nice please.

Cant decide. Both are godmode.

Polaris is more pve oriented but symmetry handles both pve and pvp. This isn't to say Polaris doesnt work in pvp, it's just that you can actually use symmetry and its perk in crucible where as...you aren't really using perfect fifth. I like Polaris' firing sound better. I like symmetry's model better. I like symmetry's rpm better. I like Polaris' infinite ammo.
-
Love the Polaris Lance. Symmetry is cool looking I just can not get over the sound, it sounds effin terrible.
-
4 RepliesWow! That's like asking which of my kids I'd save in a fire lol Polaris is more solid. Symmetry is probably more fun. I'd say Polaris. It's been my favourite scout since warmind..... sorry Oxygen
-
Lance. Only recently been using it and forgot how good it actually is. But the 5th shot needs a longer duration

-
I like both, they both feel good & they do well
-
1 ReplyPolaris is a monster if you can constantly chain crits. Symmetry looks cool but feels weak. I may be biased though. I mained high impact scouts since d1 .
-
4 RepliesPolaris 100%. Most consistent and stable shooting scout i've used to date. It is the benchmark for 150s; It would never leave my hands if I could slap mods onto it.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 2/11/2020 8:18:06 AMFor pvp, both are very stable guns. Range dropoff is realistically never an issue with scouts. So main difference would be time to kill. 150 scouts headshot TTK is 0.8 seconds, which is the same as 150 hand cannons and is around the good average. Rapid fire scouts like symmetry had their headshot TTK somewhere between 0.9 and 1.0 seconds if I remember right. Gonna have to check it. But it was towards the worse end when comparing primaries across the board. So 150 do have an advantage. With rapid fires you'll get plain out TTKed more often than not if the other guy lands his headshots. Not saying Symmetry's bad. Realistically especially in quickplay optimal TTKs aren't that important. Especially with scouts since you're often shooting at someone from beyond their damage dropoff and getting the jump/first shot on someone happens often. Rapid fires are very fun and relaxing to use when you can just keep M1 pressed down and fire away. Also missing 1 headshot isn't as detrimental with the high RPM. And symmetry's procced perk is just a beautiful meme at it's finest that's fun to use. In survival or a sweaty playing to win -game though, personally I'd pick the lowest TTK gun with the best consistency. Polaris beats Symmetry there.

Polaris Lance but symmetry is better for Randy’s quest
-
7 RepliesSymmetry is definitely more versatile. It also actually works which is a plus.
-
I think symmetry is more like skyburners, which i prefer over the other two personally.
-
Both are pretty good to be honest.
-
Polaris Lance. Way more consistent, and not to mention to have to hit shots to even get the bonus damage for sym. And then you have to reload to activate. Polaris you just shoot
-
Polaris because it's 150 and getting ammo back into the mag is amazing
-
7 RepliesAtleast polaris lance doesn’t say “full-auto” and then not be able to do so
-
Polaris. It's not even close. Symmetry is a gimmick gun meant to appease people who just want something that looks cool.
-
Both are sadly dog poop. Scouts suck in D2. If I’d have to choose the one that sucks the least I’d say Polaris Lance only because of the headshot explosion.
-
Polaris Lance all the way!
-
4 RepliesPolaris Lance - at least it's not broken
-
Polaris Lance. Clean sight, great stability and range, and equally good for crowd control or boss damage.
-
Edited by TheArtist: 2/10/2020 5:59:44 PMSymmetry. You can store up the bonus damage you accrue with Symmetry and use it whenever you want. Polaris Lance you are required to use that bonus damage shot right away...and if you miss with it..... Symmetry is more versatile. PL functions best as a boss/mini-boss killer, from the days when we were still saddled with dual primaries.
-
Depends on what you want it to do. Symmetry is much easier to use close range and Polaris Lance is better long range or on bulky targets unless you have a high stack of symmetry.
-
They’re good in different scenarios
-
Unfortunately, both of them are bugged right now. Polaris lance's perfect fifth shot disappears if you shoot them again before it explodes. Shooting them again will also stop the burn damage. Symmetry randomly stops firing in full auto, but this happens way more frequently if you have trigger stops. Having said that, I just finished my Randy's Throwing Knife grind on Friday using Polaris Lance. Even with the bug, Polaris felt like the best bet for scout rifle kills in PvP.
