I know this sounds kinda unnecessary but I'd like to be able to change my character's appearance/race/gender instead of needing to create a whole new characacter just to have a different look. It won't have an impact on the gameplay and it will be just a nice feature to have.

I think it should be a thing!!!

i agree upvoted

This is the only thing I really feel that I ever needed to ask bungie. LET US REMAKE OUR CHARACTERS' FACE FOR THE TRAVELERS SAKE.
-
Never going to happen, unfortunately. We've been asking for it since D1.
-
Yes please, I really want to change my female hunter to a male hunter, just because looks little tougher.. But I don't want to murder my guardian and birth a new one and have to do all the story missions over again
-
It's a small change that would be nice to have in the game along with better customization
-
1 ReplyI myself plus a lot of other people want this feature but also we want added features like more scars tattoos beards more hairstyles colors skin tones Etc. We know what kind of game this is and we know it's not a Bethesda game I hate people like that who needs a chime in and discount other people's opinions like seriously they need to get a life
-
So. People have been asking for this for 6 years. It's 1 of 3 things. 1. Bungie doesn't see it as a valid investment of time. As you only see your face in your menu or maybe at the tower. 2. There is something in their engine or code that makes it very difficult to add this feature. 3. Both. Honestly. I don't think it's ever gonna happen. Unless there is a D3 which doesn't seem like it'll happen either.

1 ReplyWe hear you, and were listening. We see you want to be able to change appearance in game, so we have the team working feverishly on a sidearm buff 👍
-
1 ReplyMy Warlock desires gender reassignment. He now identifies as a she (because every outfit looks like a dress) and doesn't want to be trapped in a body that doesn't reflect her true self.
-
2 RepliesI agree, take a female hunter for instance, compare it to the d1 version and there's a big difference. The d1 actually looks like a female!!

1 ReplyBest chance is D3
-
2 RepliesDon't forget body type :)
-
1 ReplyBungie isn't know for full customised character creation everything is a clone ie all types of enemy are identical including guardians this would be only useful for social space, rely on armour shaders ect it is a first person shooter u won't see ur self unless wielding a sword Kind of pointless really it's not a Bethesda game.

This topic is spreading like fire across the whole bungie-verse.
-
Why? So you can look at yourself in the tower longer and take up space to make loading times longer?
-
1 ReplyWaste of coding and space just so they can break something else. Delete your character and start over
-
I'd say it's a good idea, but the current system lacks so much detail it's hardly worth doing anything over. You don't get a lot of freedom with how you look. It's kinda dumb.
-
1 Replypeople have been asking for this since D1 and bungie never responds, not even with a copy pate, "passing this along to the dev team." i would bet this will most likely be a feature in D3 where they can sell it as a, look at this cool new feature we've been holding off on implementing for years for no real reason.

Stop with the cosmetics

I want to take my helmet off. PLEASE BUNGIE HELP ME!!!
-
In Will Smith voice: "NO, SITDOWN!"
-
I can see bungle doing this but requiring a massive quest and grinding new ultra rare mats to do this, or purchased for silver only
-
I want this too.
