I’ve had destiny 2 on my PC since release and recently built a new PC. Both machines were able to run the game with no problem.
My frame rate stutter occurs with the warlock healing rift (not fps drops, but a microstutter when there are players in the rift or an enemy rift) I consistently get 200+ frames but more of a slight jitter.
I’m hoping I’m not alone here. one thing that i discovered is that if i use vsync or adaptive sync, the problem is gone but i want to run vsync off and i cant because of that.
Below are my specs and what I’ve tested.
I7 8700k @5gHz stable
strix gtx 1080ti
gskill 32GB DDR4 3200mhz
Corsair h110iv2 liquid cooler
480 gb hyperx ssd
144hz 1440p acer predator gsync monitor
Full load temps do not exceed 60c at any given time on both the gpu or cpu.
I’ve reinstalled windows and updated accordingly
DDU fresh installed graphics drivers
Disabled gsync
Tested RAM sticks and ensured timings/dram is the same manufacturer
V-sync on and off
Frame cap at 120-144-240
Setting monitor to 120/144hz
Reinstall game
Verify file integrity
Start steam and destiny 2 in administrative mode
