Whats the point of curated rolls if theres already random rolls and god rolls?
I cant figure out why there's curated rolls in the game especially when some of the weapons curated rolls arent nearly as good as getting a random roll of the same gun. You'd think that curated meant god roll or best version of that weapon but I guess not???....

They were introduced at a time when masterwork cores were apparently "hard to acquire". It gave the bots an easy 7 shards or just a good already masterworked weapon

Curated rolls usually have some sort of unique perk combination or ‘theme’ to them. I really like them as it is kind of Bungie’s insight into how you could potentially use the weapon. God rolls are subjective and may even be the curated rolls in sole case - in my opinion the curated nation of beasts with dragonfly and outlaw is the OvE god roll. Actually wish the new raid had curated rolls too.

because a ton of players will never bother farming god rolls. Just a level of repetition that isn't worth it for likely the majority of players.

4 RepliesTo be fair, there are some great curated rolls like Kindled Orchid, Hammerhead, Gnawing Hunger and Nation of Beasts. Or some curated rolls with perks that are otherwise unavailable, like Mindbenders with Opening Shot.

It's why chasing god-rolls is somewhat silly to chase outside of reason. You can spend 100 hours chasing a "god-roll" and the next season it becomes trash. Also, some of the curated rolls can't actually roll in the perk combinations offered on the curated itself. So it does stand out as unique and also comes fully masterworked. Of all the curated rolls, [u]most[/u] of them are good and some even are "godly" so I don't really see what the complaint is?

2 RepliesPersonally I think curated rolls should have the best perks for the gun, but yeah usually there's still something even a little better than the curated version. I guess Bungie has to give the bored people something to chase down. Or they just don't know their own perks well enough to know what works best and were actually trying to make it the best available. I don't know which, but I'm leaning towards the first one.

1 ReplyI would have trashed a random roll Vouchsafe with the same perks as the curated roll, until I used the curated roll. It's a laser beam, and while I never used it much, I stuck it in the vault just in case. Also, like the ritual Vanguard machine gun from last season is a really good curated roll. That's a bit different.

One thing that Bungie is consistent about.... they dont have the forethought to consider how things will work in real game time. It looks good on the chalkboard - Im sure, but in-game it never plays out like they anticipated.

Roles perks whatever there a a joke right now. There so many useless perks I the game.. bungie refuses to allow new combinations . And they refuse to add more perks per weapon like we had in d1. Curated rolls are usally the worst rolls that's whTs nuts.

Curated rolls fall into the same category as other things such as masterworks, artifacts and finishers etc. Things that nobody asked for but bungie put in the game only foetuses items to become things that help break the game
