The Heavy Finisher seasonal mod sometimes does not reward ammo despite consuming super energy, making it punishing and inconsistent.
When the user initiates a finisher, their super energy is immediately consumed. If the finisher completes normally, it generates ammo at the end of the animation. However, if anything interrupts the animation (often a nearby guardian killing the target of the finisher early) the user will not be awarded any ammo and their super energy will still suffer the cost.
This problem is exacerbated by high latency connections, making it easier for the target to die prematurely.
To resolve this issue, ammo should be generated in the same moment that super energy is consumed. This should guarantee that user's super energy is not depleted for no benefit.
Alternatively, if the finisher is interrupted and no ammo is generated, the user's super energy should be fully refunded.
