Where's the mention of the nerfs to beloved and revoker or mindbender's and dusk rock. Nerf one crutch nerf the rest of them.
Can we stop being biased. Snipers have ridiculous aa and bullet magnitsm making body shots register as headshots. As for shotguns they have been used more then any single special since d1. And require less skill then fusion rifles. Due to trials coming back we need to re work revokers free ammo returns. Shotguns are way to dominant and are to easy to use.
Revoker sits the number number one slot for kills. Number two for special kills is mindbender's. Then beloved,dusk rock and then erentil. Hit all the crutches

You can’t tell me that a shotgun has close to as much range as an erentil. If you think it does, then your parents and teachers failed you.

If i had to choose what to change, I'd say, Backup plan, and rangefinder should not exist on fusion rifle's. Maybe make them no longer be hitscan's too, but im a bit 50/50 on that. Quickdraw, and snapshot, should not exist on shotguns in the precision, or agressive archetype's. Those guns are made to be lethal, however, those perks remove the "archetypal downsides" they have, especially while combined. I would say nerf revoker, but that would literilly kill the gun, if its perk was adjusted. I'd say ban the gun from "potential" trials, and reduce its aim assist, along side beloved's aim assist. Their will always be guns that crutch in destiny, simalar to other fps multiplayer games. What matters is the ability for them to be out played. While it may be possible, i think theirs not enough potential. Granted it shouldn't be easy to counter, same goes for how hard it is to counter.

Just make fusions not hitscan, and remove the ability to have backup plan on high impact fusions. Maybe a range reduction on high impact ones as well. Done.

1 ReplyRevoker no lie is only good because of elimination, its an alright sniper on 6v6. I use revoker only because missing a shot wont penalize me as much as using a regular sniper, it leaves room for error and if you are playing to win you want to have the ability to get one shots as often as you can. Revoker is not really broken, its simply the most forgiving sniper in the game, its a pinnacle so it makes sense. Erentil on the other hand is not a pinnacle, can cross map and 10x better than any other fusion in the game. What I would do is simply adjust erentil so it doesn’t cross map players but keep its consistency at medium to close range so the fusion will still be extremely fun to use and keeping the options open for players that enjoy the weapon. I WANT players to have options, I love it when players use weapons because they enjoy it and not because its meta. I dont get annoyed at dying to erentil, I just feel cheated when I get killed at sniper range

1 ReplyI agree with your sentiment, fusion rifle main here. But the erentil in specific, with its rolls, is excessively deadly. The range and BUP is nutty to be honest. I mean, in my mind an easy fix to BUP would be simple, if you have BUP on your fusion, your range is cut my half, or something along those lines. Just like the charge time perks that reduce impact, but this would decrease range. The only thing revoker has is the ammo regen perk, which I still don't understand why is it a problem. With scavenger perks people rarely run out of ammo? So whats the big deal. Beloved is not OP. Its sticky but the main attraction of it is the great perk pool and easines of obtaining it. Shotguns are annoying simply because of quick-draw, the range is fine, IMHO

In Destiny 1 the chaperone's range was not at the max range the way it is in Destiny 2. You can barely close the gap on your opponent with this weapon being used. And using the erentil fusion, it's range is just as ridiculous! These two weapons need a nerf if you agree or not. When Destiny 2 beta first came out, I think the main ingredient was the first fusion rifle introduced to us? If not, you hardcore gamers will correct me on that. But the main ingredient was so good and strong, Bungie nerfed it. Well, the chaperone and erentil definitely need a nerf. Let the controversy begin! And one more thing? What's also ruining Destiny 2 is the overuse of shotguns and hand cannons, agree? The meta needs to die! Bring back diversity and balance to all weapons. Handpicking certain weapons to dominate is not fair towards the rest of us players because not all of us play the same way. Our fighting styles are very much different from the others. You have a close-up in your face fighter. You have your mid-range fighter and your distance fighter and your versatile fighter, someone who can do them all. Weapons such as the shotgun and 150 hand cannons should not be the only dominant weapons in PVP, it should not be that way.

2 RepliesShotguns have already been nerfed twice what are you talking about. A guardian has to get within 8 meters and have a god roll to 1 bang you. If you let people get within 8 meters without shutting them down or creating distance, that death is your fault. Buff you awareness

Edited by Cosmic Owl: 2/8/2020 3:38:49 AMThe difference is sniper require a head shot, shotguns require close range and Erentil can OHK someone like a shotgun but at range and with almost no charge time with backup plan. It’s not that hard of a concept to grasp. Backup plan takes away the downside of Erentil, so it shouldn’t be rollable. With the exceptions of god roll mind benders and LoWs the OHK distance on shotguns is fine as slug shotguns really do require you to get a head shot and to ads for the most part.

9 RepliesThey’re Nerfing Erentil because it’s actually working outside it’s intended lane. And more to your point Shotties have already been Nerfed. And as a sniper I would agree to rework Revoker. You shouldn’t be rewarded for missing. And I concur on toning down the AA of Snipers as well.

If you hold Alt F4 on pc there is a glitch that makes you gain heavy ammo.

Oh the nerfherders will continue to roll along and -blam!- about anything till we get D2 vanilla again. It doesn't help that Bungie can't touch the sandbox with out -blam!-ing it, D2 vanilla being a prime example of balance that still isn't balanced. Thanks to those that want actual balance, not many on here.
