Hidden Satanic Messages in Destiny 2???

Why does my Monte Carlo always show "666" as the ammo count? I am a devout Christian and this number is very offensive. I don't like seeing this when I play the game. Can this be fixed? It's apparent this was done on purpose by the programmers and I take great offense from it. I shouldn't have to see that number everytime I play the game. What is the ammo count showed something religious that others didn't like? I bet that would get fixed immediately wouldn't it? The same courtesy should be show here. Bungie, can you fix this???

  • The Monte Carlo from a lore perspective is all about luck. The gun’s name itself is a reference to the city of Monte Carlo in Monaco, where the famous Monte Carlo Casino is located. Look at the size of the magazine: 43. 4+3=7. Seven is a lucky number. The fact that the base max reserves is 666 is almost definitely a reference to the idiom “luck of the devil”, luck so profound that onlookers might ascribe it to some pact with otherworldly beings. From the lore tab: Egon Bash is being interrogated by some Vanguard authority who makes a fairly clear accusation: “You survived an unauthorized run in Fallen territory. You found an advanced Golden Age firearm with functional tech in a sealed chamber. You sold the weapon’s tech to a gunsmith you won’t name for a ‘small fortune’ in Glimmer. And you partner is nowhere to be found - ‘dead by Fallen hands’ - so that ‘fortune’ is all yours. No need to split it” The Vanguard authority is accusing Egon of killing his partner in order to be the sole profiteer from the venture... “Luck of the devil” indeed. The number is not only an intentional choice by the devs, it is one that is clearly in service to the lore of the weapon. Two side notes: First, slapping an Auto Rifles Reserves mod onto a chest piece bumps the reserves up to 744 max which is, as far as I’m aware, a rather innocuous number. Second, in 2005 manuscripts dating back to the third Century which contain a copy of the Book of Revelations were discovered in Egypt. In what are the earliest copies of Revelations known to man “the number of the Beast” is given as 616, not 666. Many Biblical scholars believe the number 616 is a numerical code written in Hebrew as a none too flattering reference to Gaius Caesar, better known as Caligula, then Emperor of the Roman Empire as a political criticism against the man. It is believed his name was written in code in this fashion to avoid persecution by the Empire for the capital offense of sedition. Caligula was reviled by the Jews and early Christians for his persecution of both groups, as well as his orders that a statue of himself be erected in the Temple of Jerusalem. Later copies of Revelations are believed to have switched over to the number 666 as code for Caesar Nero, Caligula’s nephew. Nero was despised due to his continued persecution of both groups in addition to his accusation that the Great Fire of Rome was set by Christian dissidents (while many in the populace assumed Nero personally ordered the fire set as a means of cracking down on dissent so he could reestablish his dominance as sworn protector of the empire). These two numbers, 616 and 666, are now believed by many Biblical scholars to have originally been written as subversive political speech hidden in religious texts to avoid violating the laws of the Roman Empire. The idea that 666 is in itself an evil number is a connotation given to it by those reading the Bible who did not have the frame of reference of those living within the Roman Empire at the time. • Meanwhile, everybody ignores the fact that the Ace of Spades has an ammo limit of 117. *Halo theme intensifies*

how about don't use the gun... or equip a mod that grants more auto rifle ammo, there was an incident with the mechaner's tricksleves (idk how to spell it) and it had a symbol that was very bad and was taken care of immediately because it was unintentional. monte carlo probably just has some lore pertaining to the number 666 idk honestly

      •
Bungie, can you fix this???
No, I don’t think so. Also if it rubs you the wrong way so much, why not try using a different gun maybe?
I’m not trying to come off as snarky when I say that. It’s a genuine question.
• That's Monte Carlo's max reserve ammo. It's just how many bullets it has, not a satanic attack on Christians. If it offends your devotion to Christianity that much, then why are you playing a game where you shoot and kill other people and where multiple gods, including the Traveler that empowers you, exist? Seems pretty non-Christian of you to me
