Warlocks PvP game is lacking

I have commented on a few of these but I think it's fair to say that he is quite right on a lot of these points. You literally have to be touching the enemy to kill them without charging. Handheld supernova remains to be one of the best melee abilities, but that's the only thing going for that subclass. The super could do with a well needed buff. Bungie wants Warlocks to be a PVE class pure and simple.[/quote] I have to agree on this. Warlock's are only really the only class that has PvE support capabilities besides Titan bubble. Warlocks used to dominate the PvP game in crucible in D1 because of self resurrection. It's the total opposite this time around.

    • Bottom tree is good. It’s not op broken but you can run the erentil and n sins with light reactor for some fun. Devour is great when it keeps active and 10 seconds between kills is fun. Save the super for suicide shut downs or the god awful spectral spammers in pvp.

    • As a bottom tree dawnblade, you have no idea what you're talking about (for dawnblade anyway, Ive not played anything else so I cant comment). I didnt even touch anything but my hunter for 2 years and this just RAISED the skill ceiling so high.

      • Give us more class ability options: Burst rift: no overshield, faster healing, slightly smaller area and super fast placement speed Charged rift: no healing, just overshield, deals damage to enemies that pass through Double barricade: rally barricade but no reload and it’s behind you as well Warding barricade: mini ward of dawn, no buffs and deals no damage to enemies. Idk about dodges

          • If you want it on par with Titans, then you might be right. If you want it on par with Hunters, then you are way ahead of the game. If you want to have all kinds of advantages over the other players who are using Warlocks and Hunters, you should play as a Titan.

              • Top tree dawnblade is the best subclass in the game if stompees were removed. I love this subclass. It has a great neutral play with the movement ability and a decent super. Idk why you are complaining.

                  • "Handheld supernova remains to be one of the best melee abilities", didn't know it was a melee ability. Stormcaller is a fantastic super, especially top tree. The outplay potential is high with it due to ionic blink, and you can hit pretty far with it. Arc web is great for killing groups and with the way people play rn, its great because so many people teamshot. Novawarp is a great super if you can Novawarp skate. The rift is a great ability whether its empowered rift for more damage or healing rift for quick health regen.

                  • I think overall the build options are very good, but perhaps a little lacking in variety?? Slova bomb/contraverse hold build is great... chaos accelerant is the main reason for this; I love chucking super charged nades!! Vortex has the surprise factor for sure.... players will decide to run into your nova bomb; I've had a few '4 downs' where 2/3 players just run in themselves (still haven't got vortex medal triumph though??) Arc builds are pretty good, but the old tickle fingers are very inconsistent... it can be an OP one 'tickle' kill, or decide to not do any damage at all.... seriously do we need to factor in which way the wind is blowing?? The problem with the solar class is the aerial benefit... there aren't that many maps which allow you to use it; and if there are, most of the combat is in the enclosed area... it kind of ends up being a hammer titan without any impact! Well of radiance is a decent option for zone control, but is countered by every single super... although I'm not sure what would happen if you put a bubble on an enemy well!! Put it in the wrong place; you'll just get forgotten about... so definitely a tactics/timing based super! Considering the above, other classes are similar... they may not have the exact same problems, but they have problems nonetheless!

                    • Some hunter is shooting at you? You want to use an ability to kill them or get away? Well you can’t Because you’re playing warlock. Rift? Too slow you’re dead. Blink? The hunter is faster than you. Icarus dash? Nope Nova bomb? The hunter dodged it Grenade? Ha that did nothing. Melee? You did 0.0001 damage! You’re dead. Chaos reach? The hunter dodged behind a wall. Landfall Stormcaller? Too far away. Handheld? Too far away Dawnblade? Too slow Well of radiance? Quit delaying the inevitable Nova warp? Too slow, too far away Turn off your Xbox? You have escaped. Congratulations

                      • Actually a lot of PvP Warlocks would use Voidwalker because the grenades worked beautifully, Nova Bomb was lethal and you can could regenerate your grenade energy along with your health. An absolute powerhouse. Compare it to the lackluster dollar store version we have today.

                          Warlock bottom tree void needs attention. Top tree is relatively okay. Here are some suggestions that would help. Super: Just give it Lance already. Keep the AOE effect, but its needs speed and range. Devour: So much wasted survival potential, the biggest issue is that it just isn't rewarding enough to activate. Overshield on initial activation and then health bumps for kills after that. This helps provide some benefit before running into the fray. Grenades: The aoe and tracking should intrinsically last longer. Not a dps buff, just duration to compliment the area lockdown of the super. Solar is better with top tree changes, but bottom tree is lacking. Bottom Tree Solar: This tree build should be about burn effects, however there is no reliable survival to pull them off. Super: The super should give health on kill and leave a burn effect on the ground, or alternatively kills cause a solar explosion that damages nearby enemies. It doesn't get the mobility benefit of top tree, so it needs to be more about area control. Igniting Touch: Not worth the risk, EVEN in PVE. Needs Flame Shield from D1 and a burn effect increase. Grenades: All grant burn and should last longer and health on killing enemies to a burn effect.

                            • Dude Bungie knows what they're doing. That's why comp games could end 3 secs after the timer ran out and private matches count for PvP stats.

                            • I am a Titan..since D1 beta. In D1..when I switch characters..I can feel the difference and had fun with them. I agree that D2 warlock is bad. Its boring..nothing that make me fun to play. No sticky nades..no long melee. No overshield after melee kill..etc The only way to have a kill is using gun If I switch to hunter..I still can get some fun.

                              • Side note Blade barrage and shards of galanor in mayhem is super annoying. I know it's mayhem and it's supposed to be a bunch of nonsense. But being able tk get off 3+ supers before you even touch the ground is a bit much

                              • When nova warp released one could wipe an entire team with ease. It had high damage resistance, was fast, and lasted way to look no. It was OP as -blam!-. I still see players using it and getting 3, 4 kills per super. They're just smart about deployment and blink evasion. Something you probably lack.

                                  Void grenades in general throughout all classes are just so Weak Vortex is a joke, you can walk through it, stop for 1 second and still make it out with no major damage Axion Bolts are Slow, deal extremely low damage & Tracking is very bad Voidwall grenades has some good AOE but damage wise it's lackin big time Suppression Nades feel like they last for an eternity, maybe reduce duration to 3 Seconds flat Handheld supernova out there giving Voidwalkers a bad name Scatter Grenades, just when you thought no nade could be worse than Hunter's Swarm grenades

                                  • I love when im using Stormtrance and the hunter im trying to zap uses his dodge and bumps my TTK up to 3 seconds in a 0.8 TTK game. Feels so good each... and every... time.
