Angered and Heartbroken.
I’ve never been so angered and heartbroken from joining a player on the destiny companion app. After 43 gruesome minutes our fire team managed to complete this weeks Scarlet Keep Nightfall on Master Difficultly. I was anxiously waiting for my hard earned pinnacle weapon and rewards to drop only to be kicked from the fire-team before the drop. I rushed to the tower to see if maybe it would be at the postmaster only to realize that the Weekly challenge was not completed. For the first time after many years of playing Destiny, I was left speechless and shocked by what just happened. Destiny is the only game I look forward to playing every night. Im a mother and playing is my getaway and what I enjoy doing the most during my free time. After this incident, Im just sitting here with tears in my eyes.
Re; Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that reached out. I was so emotional in the heat of the moment as I couldn’t believe anyone would do such a thing and deliberately kick me from the fire-team before the drop. Anyone who played The Scarlet Keep on master can relate to how stressful and at the same time exhilarating the boss phase is; I love the chaos which makes this Nightfall reward in particular more deserving at the end. It’s evident from your support that the good players ALWAYS outnumber the toxic ones in this community. Much Respect. 🌹
Edit: This is the first time I’ve ever posted on here thinking that it would directly go to Destiny. It’s crazy reading all your responses but I think that there were some really good suggestions in regards to the situation. Destiny could definitely look into disabling the Boot feature once you reach a certain point in a strike/raid like the restricted zone or the Boss Phase.
And to anyone saying I overreacted; 1. In that moment when you see the message that you’re no longer in a fire-team and realize what just happened, yes it angered me and 2. I did not mention the abuse I got from that certain player After I messaged them regarding their actions. So yes it was painful to hear what he had said knowing that you did everything right to complete the nightfall.
I hope this controversy might spark a change in some features in the game making it more user friendly especially for solo players that depend on the companion app for certain tasks. 👍🏽

Don't pay attention to the trolls. As long as you had completed all your house duties, why shouldn't you be allowed some time to play some destiny? And then for that time to be wasted, really sucks.

4 RepliesI'm sorry to hear that. You didn't deserve that. Unfortunately, this community is filled with buffoons, jerks and petty losers. Players that do this should be reported. For one thing, it should not be allowed in the game. The ability to kick someone should not even exist near the end of the game. It should be cut off at the Boss phase, period. This is a big reason why I play mostly solo. There are just too many jerks in the video game world. I scoff at companies that want to force co-op all the time. Players just don't play nice, like Bungie wants them too. That's one of the reasons my daughter stopped playing Destiny. She got tired of the abuse from these clowns.

Anyway: 1) there was no loot in the chest. 2) there was no ascendant shard drop possible Therefore you probably lost 1 prism. I suspect that the fireteam leader must have booted you, and the other player, as he raged over the useless run. Not cool, but you didn’t lose anything. That said, try to create your own lfg group. People are shit, especially on this game. Fact.

Same issues Last week someone bad mouth and type something horrible to me on SotP final boss once boss die someone ask leader to kicked me on the way to chest but lucky I got reward once I get kicked

Sure wish the 2 other people would comment. Probably won’t but would love to hear their side. Also I don’t see anything they could implement to avoid this other then no kicking at boss fight.

So if OP is seeing this post, I am being serious on running the Nightfall Ordeal with you if you're still interested on doing it. I also want to state that while being kicked at the end of the activity is in fact, quite annoying, it's nothing to cry and get emotional over. At the end of the day, it's a video game. Some people do boot people just for kicks, but there are those who boot people who are deserving of being booted (an example is someone being obnoxious and/or disrespectful towards you and fellow fireteam members). I am not saying OP was, in any way, was deserving of it as I do not know what truly transpired.

3 RepliesWow, they game is very antisolo these days. Ive gotten to the point I feel repelled if I play it. They listen to raids gear the content to the raiders and thats about it but they have driven more everyone I know out of the game I was a last hold out and I am about done. I guess the answer is pay them more money ... or stop playing all together.

This exact thing happened to me when playing a legend sundial I found using the destiny app Im really new to the game and am just starting to try to group up and try harder content to learn how its done. I had a really good fireteam who were doing all kinds of advanced tactics I have never seen done. Someone was not happy at the end and DDOS me as soon as I got to the rewards screen and so I lost out on a the much needed pinnacle drop... I have had this DDOS thing happen to me MANY times now mostly in PVP... This game has a very unfriendly and vengeful multiplayer community. It appears that most of the veterans are very unhappy or just dont want to play with or help new light players.

See, this is why we need an in-game LFG system and incentive for sherpas. Imagine if raid encounters would continue to drop non-powerful loot throughout the week as long as there was a new player to that raid each time. That would be awesome.

Wow, really sorry to hear. I know the feeling and I'm sure it's happened to all Destiny players at one time or another. It's part of the reason I completely stopped joining other players' teams and would only form my own teams as fireteam leader.
