Introduce a kinetic trace rifle that converts pure taken energy into a liquid sludge and then fires it at combatants. This liquified taken essence would have a weakening effect on opponents and making them more susceptable to damage. Enemies killed by the trace rifle explode and splatter sludge onto nearby enemies.
Basically this weapon is a fancy highpowered taken water gun. It should be low on range compared to other trace rifles but higher on impact and flinching. Anyone else who has been blasted in the face with a water hose would know the feeling. That's what I want this weapon to be like.
The weapon would have a similiar appearance like whisper. It would be black and white colored and fire a liquid taken beam thats also black and white.
Edit: just to clarify, when I say "weakening" effect I mean that the weapon should damage you similiar to how taken captains do with their energy blasts. The stream of liquified taken radiation should heavily damage combatant shields and disorient opponents the longer you hold that beam on them.

9 RepliesSo basically, you excite the gun to the point of releasing fluid. Interesting.
I will take the ban with pride.
3 RepliesGood idea but making it increase the damage enemies take would make it either a slightly worse or slightly better version of Divinity. Not very exotic. The idea of enemies exploding in taken essence is cool though. It'd just have to do something more interesting than "increased damage".

2 RepliesEdited by Swift: 1/31/2020 12:23:18 PMsounds like the the hunter tether super.. but in a gun.. for everyone..

2 RepliesForget cool ideas. Bungie never listened to a gun concept for destiny. Even some that were insanely greattly designed and explained. Bungie never paid attention. Instead we are getting borring exotics with borring perks and design

Oh yeah, sounds sick bro.

Edited by xbroggiex: 1/31/2020 11:08:03 PMBungie: "You're delusional. Why would we do this when we can release another uninspired exotic with barely any unique features?"

1 ReplyOh my 😲 🤣

1 ReplyI’ll definitely not use this gun on November

Great idea

1 Reply*Cough*make it kinetic*cough*

6 RepliesRemember that artefact in D1 where meleeing an enemy had a chance of briefly making them an ally? You could do the same thing here. Make it so that killing an enemy with the gun has a chance of "taking" them, spawning in a Taken variant of whatever you killed which fights alongside you for 30 seconds or so before disappearing.

1 ReplyAlternatively, a kinetic trace rifle that just has a long bullet pole that comes out the front. With said bullet pole, you can poke at/attempt to knock enemies over, use it on your sparrow for jousting, and turn off light switches from across the room. Think of a mechanical pencil when you keep clicking the eraser, but a gun.

8 RepliesOr they could just buff Sweet Business's damage and make it a special

2 RepliesSo we're hosing enemies with white liquid? But this game is rated T.

We already have the weakening with divinity Now if you make this a primary trace rifle (returns ammo to mag on precision hits) now that would be worth it. Trace rifles would be good except that they are hindered by the ammo economy

The comments here are killing me lol

Divinity already weakens combatants.

5 RepliesOr make it blind enemies, as if they are being taken so to speak, so imagine in cruicable if they start shooting you with it your screen will start turning black around the edges and slowly get small and smaller, similar to how part of the d1 raids had this, don't remember which, think it was VOG, but don't quote me on that, just rember having a tiny one inch blurry dot in the center of my screen during a raid
