I had some time tonight, and thought I will work on some triumphs, so I went to the Moon for some Altars of Sorrow. I was close to tier 3 (for a total of 4) of the triumph “waves upon waves”. It requires you to clear waves at the Altars of sorrow and tier 3 requires 100 waves to be completed.
I got it, and saw the requirement for tier four....
....500! FIVE HUNDRED WAVES!!!!!
Are you joking? Wtf? I am at 20% after 100 😂
You need at least 20min for 5 waves...for 500 it’s 34 hours of grind....and you need some constant players with you to pass the waves.
Please have a look on this triumph, some grind is ok, but this one is a joke!

3 RepliesThis game gets a hella lot simpler when you ignore triumphs. Decided to not bother with saviour either, bcoz I got undying and got told 'everyone has undying'. It means I never have to touch gambit or crucible ever again, and I'm happier for it.

2 RepliesYeah...I think there’s a reason I’ve only seen a handful of harbingers. Plenty of time to work on it, I may not get that one tho

2 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 1/29/2020 6:29:13 AMAre you surprised? I have a quest that requires getting 1,000,000 points in strikes. Yeah, sorry Bungie, I’m good. Is it possible? Of course it is. Is it even the worst requirement I’ve seen? Not at all. Is the “reward” worth the tedious and time consuming effort. Nope. Just another example of game designers not bothering to come up with interesting activities and just assigning arbitrary numbers to quest steps.

3 RepliesEdited by Ardour: 1/28/2020 3:31:32 PMBruh, most of triumps and titles are for braindead monkeys who dont know what to do with their lifes. Its lnot like it started just now :)
-
Lol... you could probably get a bachelors degree with the same time invested.

1 ReplyWho says you have to do it all in one sitting? Y'all make me crazy with this complaining about "the grind". Bungie set high goals for triumphs like these to be earned over a longer period of time, and by just naturally playing the game. Give it some time and you'll get there.
-
3 RepliesImagine still caring about triumphs in this game.
-
That’s everything now. That’s Bungie. Grind Grind Grind Grind. And just remember “you’re not here to have fun”.
-
There are some seriously ludicrous triumphs, that certainly isn’t the only one. They need to take another look at a few of them for sure.

9 RepliesTo get the unbroken title from the crucible you have a triumph for which you need to be legends 3 times in 3 different seasons. 1 season is 90 days so you have to play 270 days destiny and get 5.5k glory every season. 1 win is around or less than 100glory. Minimum 55 matches with no loss and that is imposible even with a fireteam on discord.

I noticed this too and had a good laugh.

problem with the altar is that the only loot are the 3 weapons; 1 of which is a rocket launcher; so for most players you're only going for 2 "god roll" weapons and after that you're done.

3 RepliesI'm at 357 lol, that's actually sad. I go there to do the banshee and Saint bounties most days.
-
23 Replies500 waves for the 4th bar? Yet further proof that Bungie never tested shadowkeep before release. And a very telltale sign people with the lunar title already cheated for it or were given bonus progress by Bungie like the sleeper nodes with the streamers having 40/40 a week after warmind.
-
Dude, this is the key principle behind most of D2. Take something, make the players grind it for ridiculous amounts of time and take thier money. It's in pretty much every facet of the game.
-
I mean you have had since Alters of Sarrow came out last season to work on that triumph. Not like it's going away at the end of this Season.
-
And I’m still waiting for the ghost shell to drop...
-
Yeah it's when it comes to things like that you really realize bungie doesn't know what they're doing or talking about with things.

4 RepliesAltar of Sorrows is more dead than Escalation Protocol. Good luck.

I finished that last night. Good luck.
