Okay, I've been putting some time in a forge map, and I know you could put stuff in the air in Halo 3, and once it spawned, it fell. I was wondering if this is possible with structure blocks, like 1x1 blocks, just with stuff like fusion coils (and how) or not at all.

spawn the object hit X and where it says phased change it to normal. Problem solved.
Posted by: TutenLouPoopin yes its possible, while holding an object hit x. I forget what the thing is you have to change, but the options are FIXED, PHASED, and NORMAL. set it to normal. it will fall like in halo 3
This will work depending on the object. If the spawn point for that object does not stay in the air where you placed it will set to where that object comes to rest on the ground. So to be safe set the NORMAL physics object on top of FIXED physics object to make sure the spawn location is set, then remove the FIXED object and the NORMAL will fall from its new spawn point in the air. Ok, that's a no for structure blocks. Is it possible with fusion coils though? I've tried spawning them in mid-air, restarting a round, only to find them spawn in the place where they hit the ground.

Wait, you cant do this anymore? But my next map requires it! Maybe if you place them on top of a platform in forge, but then make the platform never spawn in game! I get creds for the idea if it works.

Scenery -> Containers. Gadgets -> Explosives -> Fusion Coil/Covvie tank thing. That is all that falls in forge world. ----------- However, you can try setting it in the air, fixing it, and then changing it's gravity layout to normal. That may work.

It is a little disappointing.
