I understand that Bungie and the mods are in a tight spot. There is an over abundance of down-right ugly people on this forum. There is no way that they can police all of the reports and the unreported stuff. It’s just insane, so I can understand the idea of a black list of instant ban words.
That being said, I think the baby, along with the bath water, is firmly out the window.
My objections to the ban bit are in the same line as other users who have posted their objections. The list is too vague, it gives no regard to context, it is too restrictive in some cases, not restrictive enough in others and just plain absurd in the rest. Like why can you say pedophile but if you drop off the suffix you get banned?
If I was in charge, I would extend the words on the ban bot list to the -blam!- list and l would make the list more consistent.
Sincerely,
Much regards.

1 ReplyIf people would just grow up and stop acting like children it wouldn’t be a problem. Just go to the Destiny2 Sub Reddit r/DestinyTheGame it’s waaaaaaaay more productive.

4 RepliesI legit got banned for 1 week for saying "R***v" Ninjas said it was an "accident" and that their newer member wasnt suppose to ban me but give me a warning.

1 ReplyGot insta-banned last week for a 4 word joke on H***** (literally all I said was "H***** is a thing") with no warning. Never been banned or on this site, and I don't recall any warnings within the past year, so I didn't realize I could appeal until a few days ago- figured it was a bot that banned me so I wasn't sure if those could be appealed in the first place, but decided to just wait it out anyways since I wasn't missing much.

I have to agree & a lot of this could have been avoided with simple communication. If a business' credit card/debit reader is down, I always appreciate it when they put a not on the door. When a business is out of stock on something, I like when they out up a notice. When I go to a restaurant & they are not carrying an item due to a health concern, I love seeing it posted on the door or the drive-thru speaker. Communication makes the world go around.

3 RepliesEdited by Banned Moment: 1/27/2020 6:34:55 AMWhat the -blam!-. I told a guy who put a density post down here to "BEGONE!" and I got a warning from one of those -blam!-ing bots that If I did anything again I would be banned.

That being said, I think the baby, along with the bath water, is firmly out the window.
Give me a baby in a tub of bathwater and I'd gladly throw it very firmly out the window.

I know and understand what you are saying. I thought they would ban me for a couple of things I said, but here I am. There is no justice in this world.

Edited by Krantzstone: 1/27/2020 9:04:52 PMYou'd think Bungie could afford to hire real people to police their own forums hosted on their own servers, considering how much money they make from EverPurse.
"According to estimates provided by SuperData, Warframe's revenue has grown an average of 27% year-on-year, reaching $182.5 million in digital revenue across 2018-- a figure that is comparable to the significantly higher profile Destiny 2, which has an estimated $300 million in digital revenue for 2019."
https://imgur.com/a/4SRcrjV
