I don’t know why but doesn’t it feel weird or bother you that the pyramid has always been there even during d1? I mean looking back now and realising that all the time our guardian had spent on the moon and during the whole dark below dlc when we dove into the hellmouth and slew crota the pyramid had always been there watching our every move....
Not even eris had discovered it or knew of its presence when she was trying to survive in the pit after her fire team were slaughtered. Only recently following the events prior to shadow keep did she just find out that there was one on the moon.
I mean imagine walking on a planet or a moon with a monolith beneath your feet capable of conjuring nightmares, bringing back your fears and destroying entire solar systems just sitting there silently watching and listening to you. I mean that’s pretty scary to be honest. Especially when our guardian was still fairly weak and had just been risen from the dead recently...

1 ReplyMy guess on in universe, it was dormant and hiding as it recovered. When it woke up their was a moon quake that made it easier to find. Not that we were looking for it. As for our world. They wright the lore the same way KH does it lore.

Seriously though if people dont realise Bungie are making it as they go.... I'd love to know where this void Calus saw is, are we talking this galaxy? The local cluster? The Laniakea super cluster? It's all a little vague for my liking. It will probably turn out that the pyramid ships are a race of black hole avatars or something equally dumb.

1 ReplyThe real reason is because Bungie probably hadn't planned that part of the story yet. It's not that much of a stretch to think no one went to that part of the caverns underneath the moon. There wasn't a Scarlett Keep there attracting us until now. The Pyramid was also likely masking its presence somehow.

Edited by FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 1/24/2020 6:11:27 PMOne time in D1, I saw the face of a rock, and it was smiling at me.

I went into the pyramid expecting to be welcomed by a Gandalf the Gray or by Mara Sov in a wet t-shirt, but nope. All I got was a greet from evil me, even tho I was already evil and greater so! Dredgen Gee Tee I was. The Pyramid's inhabitants are prickly beings, aren't they?

7 Replieswhy on every lore post like this, where we are talking about the story and what could be, is there always a sad pathetic person trying to tell us how bad this game is.

I've always thought the ship made a pitstop to the moon before settling in a little before shadowkeep instead of way back before the events of D1. The artifact or the "black ball" that the moon team discovered could have been on the moon before with the pyramid just pulling a vsauce michael and showing up out of nowhere.

3 RepliesI think they're still on Earth.

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure my phone is listening to me. That bugs me as well.

3 RepliesThere was some lore cards realesed with forsaken that detail fenchurch(the dude tess is always talking about) encountering a nightmare thrall with a small shard of the pyramid in it,I think something happened between d1 and d2 for the ship to be exposed

No worries. That thing will be forgotten about until D3 rolls out and we get another vague story arc based, loosely, around it. We might get out half-assed answer then

8 RepliesI’m just surprised nobody flew over the crack in the moons surface and saw the pyramid in there lol

3 Replies<What's even better is that the Lunar Pyramid didn't even help or benefit the Hive directly. It literally didn't give a single -blam!- about anyone other than us.>
