Fusions. Everywhere.
Every Ib game is full of players maining fusions the entire match absolutely mapping people. Backup plan is insane and needs to go, hit scan makes backup plan fusions almost impossible to dodge. When is Bungie going to address the state of fusions and where they are in crucible right now?
So you say just change your playstyle?
But what I see is fusion players not wanting to change THEIR playstyle to dealing with shotguns, sidearms and primaries. They want to use the same thing over and over while telling everyone else to play better against the easiest gun in the game.

I think Fusions are in a great place at the moment. They feel 'right'. If you're being nuked by Fusions so much, you're being Anakin to our Obi Wan and trying to take our high ground. Don't do dat.

1 ReplyWhat are you talking about Willis? I see shotgun apes. The odd fusion rifle. (Erentil/Wizened) Haven’t been head slapped by a Jotunn at all though. Lots of apes. I feel like Charleton Heston running through a corn field.

Backup plan used to be an exotic perk & I never understood why it was made a regular perk. I do like and use fusions but I prefer other perks to backup plan. I use them & sidearms way more than a shotty in PvP.

Not sure I would agree they are a plague, I am on my second character in IB and not seen that many. Been hit with a few people trying Bastion but thats about it. I hate the slip and slide shotties more.

Fusions and Shotties are cancer in Destiny 1 and ever since the rework in D2 Y2. People hated Y1 just because they couldn't crutch their specials. Now look, "Special" weapons have become primary weapons with how often they're used nowadays. You'll get downvoted to oblivion but I really wish the sandbox team really took to looking at these two weapon types a bit more critically as they're way over used and very easy to OHK and if not they just use their second shot for cleanup.

1. Personally I haven’t experienced this. 2. It’s quest step. And the fusion they give you has Back up Plan I think.

The data never backs it up. Even when there was an IB quest that required players to use fusions fusions were the third most used special weapon type on Iron Banner. The gun is balanced. The data shows the gun is balanced. Bungie has all the information available about the gun and has since Forsaken. Seriously, put all the effort you put into begging for nerfs and focus it into improving your play. You can easily play the METa against fusions and be successful. The best survival players do it every day on stream without complaining about fusions because they can just change their tactics with the same weapons win and move on. Edit: now that the data is out for IB turns out Erentil is the 27th most used weapon. That’s not “everywhere”.

1 ReplyOnly thing that calls for a nerf for fusions is Backup Plan on Erentil. That aside, it's pretty straightforward to play around fusions. Just dance in and out of cover and bait them into firing.

Why do you think this started happening? I’ll tell you. Everyone coming here to complain about how good fusions are increased the popularity of fusions. Also, they are more common in the iron banner because you can be severely under-leveled and still kill a guardian without much effort.

All the fusions I saw today were exotics. I was expecting to see a lot more Erentils and a lot less Arbalests. I crutch the hell out of my Bygones and Recluse, so I can't really complain 😂😂

Fusions? Fusions are fine. The only fusion that could have an argument for a problem is erentil. Fusions as a whole though are fine
