People who wanted to hit legends got them now bungie , time to nerf it a bit.
I get that the item is made to boost your grenade build as a HHSN warlock but hear me out.
Im a hunter main , yes a "highly op hunter" that warlock claims we are so stupidly strong... Yet , every 15 seconds, warlocks gain a grenade they can hold for 5 seconds , giving them an overshield and dmg resistance for that whole time. I tried it and it takes alot of dmg to get trough that shield and is almost impossible to get it done in the time he shoots that grenade , meaning he has 1 to 3 sure kills cauz yeah its aoe right ? (lol)... The only close range weapon that could stand a chance in the time we have to react would be the Lord of Wolves wich means if you see a shadow warp warlock in comp , the only way to beat a hiding warlock would be playing 1 gun to counter it.
Now i know warlocks will say : DUH you have a throwing knife that makes u immune while it shoots. Correction , theres an immune animation for 0.5 seconds while the knife flips in your hands and lets be honest , it almost never saved anyone. The "NERFED" shadow battery that you guys seems to forget it got nerfed is more reliable that this immunity. The shadow battery gives an overshield of 0.5 seconds and disappear right after , meaning that after the dodge animation your shield is over.
Your grenade makes you tankier than anything else in this game , its aoe , its range and has such a few bullet spread that you can shoot it from so far away. If you miss it , you are doing it on purpose. Hammer throw and throwing knife may have high aim assist but its nothing compared to that grenade.
The problem here isnt the grenade itself , even how strong it is. The problem is the exotic making the grenade what it is. It's a 1 shot that is guaranteed cauz u cannot die while using it every 15 seconds. the exotic needs a nerf , either keeping the bonus but double the time of your grenade cooldown or give the overshield and not the dmg resistance bonus. Titans got their one eyed mask cauz it was "broken" in pvp , yet to get that 1 kill they put themselves in danger going into melee range into a team. Warlocks are just ranged 1 shot , no dangers at all.
On the counterpart , i agree that throwing knife has some stupid mechanics into it too. The thing shouldn't bounce and 1 shot. Ive seen some people hitting walls and getting 1 shot kills and thats pretty lame too. The refund on the kill is questionable also considering how much aim assist there is on it.
Lastly , quit complaining that shadow warp got nerfed , all "chasing" ults got nerfed in dmg resistance. Its an ultimate attack , not a death star attack , you are not a god while using it and its a high risk high rewards skill. it gives alot of speed , 1 shot attacks and of course , you need a way to shut them down. If you run in a straight line while in ult , you deserve to die.

I'd rather keep the overshield than the rng based part of contraverse holds. It's only fair against shotgun aping players who uses their hippity hopping into and out of danger. But Bungie has a uses a census based data to try to determine as to how many players are playing by subclass (warlocks being the least utilized) I'd doubt they nerf it. 1 ReplyThe damage shield is cheesy af. It’s a free OHK every time HHSN is up. That said, at the current time, I think it’s fine. Warlocks are hard to do well on. Now if Warlocks ever get the rework that people want them to get then it would absolutely have to be looked at.

1 ReplyOne exotic that works well and everybody loses their minds. Especially since it makes one ability work well on one perk tree of a single subclass. Oh darn. I prefer Contraverse Hold for top tree Voidwalker in PvE thank you very much. It's the closest thing to Nothing Manacles we can get to.

Because Warlocks overuse it because it's literally the only ability a Warlock has to get an edge in the Crucible when a gaddamn Hunter has every trick in the trade to get a huge advantage in the Crucible. I'm not going over again why Hunters are overpowered in the Crucible, if you can't see that you're too gaddamn stupid! Hunters are literally easy mode. Warlocks have one good thing and you Hunters freak the hell out!

4 RepliesNah, it's fine. You have your habilities and broken exotics, leave that to us, the warlocks. You can't pray for a nerf to the HHSN, it's the ONLY ohk warlock hability. You just need to play and stop complaining. If you don't like to play against that kind of players and you came here to complain, go cry then.

I would be ok if nerfed it where you could only get one kill with HHSN but don’t nerf it to the ground, then warlocks would have no one hit kill abilities.

1 ReplyI'm ok with it giving you back half your grenade energy on every hit. I'm ok with it giving your more armor than a super. I'm not ok with it doing both those things at the same time.
