What is your most hated gun in PvP?
I guess we all have a most hated gun in crucible. You have guns like Erentil, Jotunn, shotguns, Arbalest, etc... that can be very annoying but what is the gun you hate the most when it kills you in crucible? And why?

1 ReplyHonestly SUROS Regime is probably my least favorite gun to be killed by followed by TLW I really hate how I’ll fire first and almost be killing them and SUROS just melts with that increasing rate of fire over time perk. The last word is an auto firing hand cannon that rewards hip firing enough said. Other than that probably thorn or beloved both of which I commonly see in trials and competitive.

honestly, shotties do my bidding. Hand-cannons, fusions and even snipers are counterable. Again most people hate erentil but to be honest, but backup plan is the only problem with it imo.

16 RepliesUm, On console? Erentil. Because it’s basically a power weapon and damn near uncounterable in the hands of a half decent player. Game is EZ mode with it equipped. On pc? Snipers. Because super high destiny bullet magnetism and MnK are a terrible mix (and I’m a sniper main) It makes the meta a super stale hardscope fest where any half decent MnK player will almost always be able to atleast body you no matter how you move and how you flinch them. 95% of pc players play as follows because of it: -hardscope tight angle -QuickDraw glitch to primary after landing a body -mash A, D and crouch whilst furiously clicking with their spam rations. It’s terribly obnoxious and severely lowers the skill gap (no offense to PC players but they have much worse positioning/movement skills than console players because all they work on is mouse aim and hardscoping)

Erentil/high-range shotties. I can deal with most everything else a bit more consistency.

Erintil and Jotun. Erintil is a sniper rifle and Jotun is a special ammo rocket launcher. I dont care for either. I dont want jotun nerfed. Its an exotic. But erintil and all high impact fusions need to have backup plan remived from their perk pool.

God roll fusion rifles since all the require is a charge time to get instant kills from nearly any range.

I see this post is already getting downvoted by all of the meta defenders out there. Like, really people? This is just an honest question and obviously its just about your opinions on the matter. It's not targeting a specific weapon. Maybe the OP likes one or two of the weapons that you think they might be against. ...But if I were to give an answer to the question, I've got an answer for shotguns, fusions and snipers separately. Shotguns: Mindbender's Ambition. It's like the Felwinter's Lie of Destiny 2, all about that one-shot range and to many folks, there aren't really other viable options in the Crucible if you don't want to get stomped. It's legendary, so you can pair an exotic with it too. Fusion Rifles: Erentil FR4. From my personal experience using the gun and going against it in the Crucible, this thing may as well be a sniper and a shotgun built into one weapon. Unlike most fusion rifles of its type, it can also roll long-zoom scopes on top of whatever nasty roll you might get on it. If players learn to get past the charge mechanic and play into its effective range right, this thing can become hard to counter, especially in chaotic situations with fireteams or other shenanigans like where some Guardians can see through walls. It's also legendary, so it can work with an exotic weapon. Sniper Rifles: Revoker. This one isn't complained about much, but I do have an opinion about it. I find this weapon awfully generous. It's an Aggressive Frame sniper, so bodyshots can clean up a lot of damaged enemies or just one-shot them if you have a damage buff of some kind. If you miss a shot with it and you wait about 2 seconds, you get that full shot back, which basically promotes camping if the enemy is really good at dodging. It's also a short-zoom sniper with Snapshot Sights, so it tends to be used in a lot of battles from my experience. And once again, it is legendary, so it can be paired with an exotic. I'm not a fan of free special ammo in the Crucible. There's so much of it as is.
