I’m writing this out because I was banned on Saturday, January the 11th. I deeply feel I was wrongly banned. I have never cheated and never will, Destiny is a passion for me. I have poured so much love, passion and money into this game and I would never take it for granite. I understand the delayed responses to the appeals because of the weather in Seattle so that’s why I’m posting this on the forums, reaching out for help. I’ve never had a warning or restriction in my life, so I can’t fathom as to why I’m permanently suspended. If it was by accident, or due to other players bad doings, I’m sorry. I have never cheated or gained anything from someone who has, I just love this game for what it is and don’t want to lose it all. All I’m asking for is a look into my case, please. A second chance would mean the world to me, when I’ve never had the first. I would be so grateful for a reversal, but I would take a lessened restriction if this has caused any problems for anyone in the Bungie Security Team. I love Destiny, this game helps me get through my worst days and I’m so sorry for anything I’ve done wrong, when I feel I’m innocent. Thank you for your time, Bungie; please look into this. I love this game.

This thread has been moved and locked. Bungie has a form that you can submit ban appeals to through help.bungie.net. From your posts you mention that you’ve already submitted it twice. All contact is between you and Bungie directly, if they’re able to respond. There is no reason to have this on the public forums.

Doing something once / 1 time does not lead to a restriction or ban unless you are using code injecting software or cheating in some way. Connection based restrictions or bans you are given a warning about your connection first before any restriction or ban is places. Bungie investigates accounts before they hand out any restrictions or bans. After investigating your account, they found a reason. They will not remove this restriction/ban. On the occasions they do respond, the answer will give a date and a very brief reason which will be one of the following below. 1. Cheating 2. Any software being detected by Destiny while it's running. These could include Trainers, Aimbots, Auto-fire, Mods, Graphics Hacks, Network Accelerators anything that injects code into games. This includes any cheats etc that you use for other games DESTINY 2 PC AND THIRD-PARTY APPLICATION FEATURE COMPATIBILITY Also see Steam Service Agreement section 4. ONLINE CONDUCT, CHEATING, AND ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR 3. An unstable connection is having an impact on other players. 2 Repliesdoesn't a console ban come from Xbox? Bungie can ban a console, only access to their game, last I checked....

1 ReplyNot saying that you did cheat nor am I accusing you of cheating but having an account for 6 years does not make you immune to bans if you break the rules and/or cheat you get banned loyalty does not equal immunity

Let this be a lesson to other players. Fix your internet problems. It could be as simple as updating your router or just using a LAN Cable. Sadly, it might take buying higher quality bandwidth. But if you let these problems go . . . you will get banned.

2 RepliesThen unhide your game history!

4 RepliesI wonder how many 1m31s games you've been in where one person gets a ton of kills.
-
1 ReplyIf you got console banned, why are you on Bungie.net? If your account got suspended, you should contact microsoft xbox and not Bungie.

There is now an appeal process if you feel you were wrongly targeted which can happen. Try that. Appealing on the forums won’t help.

I work on oil rigs and returned home to find out I had a two month ban. Later found out my brother had cheated in comp while I was away, wee -blam!-🤣🤣🤣 Jeez this game is a drag without PvP.

2 RepliesYou know there is a ban appeal form, right?

A lot of my friends have gotten in similar problems, and it’s because of one or two bad influences that they play with. My friends don’t cheat or exploit the game in any way, and while I understand that playing with people who do can affect you negatively, it’s only fair to give a warning first or a lesser punishment so the player can learn their lesson, especially if they themselves don’t utilize any sort of advantage in game.
