Not sure who's idea it was to set the loses for glory in PVP to more than the gain for winning, and then, on top of that, make random teams for solo players, but it is driving people away from your game.
It's so sad to see you guy resort to this in your PVP quest steps. I understand it needs to be difficult, but forcing solo players to do this and then punishing them because the random team your game peered them with doesn't work is beyond frustrating. This makes it damn near impossible for a mediocre solo player to achieve these goals.
A lot of your quests are like this and it is maddening. Forcing players to play hundreds of matches with low levels of success is not a substitute for a lack of content.
If you guys are catering to the 5% that will actually complete this, then consider your goals met and prepare for a lot of pissed off people. It is no wonder that most of the people I used to play with have moved on from Destiny. I'm only now returning after a long break and I am quickly re-discovering why I left.

1 ReplyI'm guessing my post wasn't very clear. I'm not complaining that the competitive matches are hard. What I am saying is that the solo queue is full of people that, feed the enemy, don't want to play as a team or just up and quits mid-game when they feel that winning the match is out of reach. So the guy that gets 20 kills with a 2.5 efficiency loses and it's because one of his teammates quits after the second round or the other members just run out and die. So why not make it based on individual statistics. You can still have your teams but it would be a truer competition that's based on individual stats and not random bullshit teams. It doesn't take anything away from the competition and it allows people that don't play a lot to participate.

Edited by BoyarD: 1/20/2020 7:01:56 AMAnyone who claims you should win more glory than you lose has never played a competitive rank based game before. It's already easy enough. You aren't forced to play the game. If you aren't good enough to get some PvP weapon get better. If you want NF just use LH. They are pretty much the same since the range nerf.

Who is forcing solo players to do anything? You are allowed to make friends and play as a team. Its actually preferred since you can mic up to communicate and coordinate. When I play solo, i play to win but may lose because of crappy team mates or someone leaves from a bad connection. I dont like to gamble my glory, so i try to play in a team when i want to win.

Mediocre players shouldn't succeed. You don't get rewarded for being bad at a game.

5 RepliesThe majority of your matches you are in last or second place. I don’t think it’s a game or teammate problem

It’s called SURVIVAL not “go kill things”
