Don't lie to me. Which one of these is it?
EDIT: Looked it up. 92 aim assist.
Guess I know the crowd of people who like a sharpshooter's where you don't have to aim. Probably the people who have Mindbender's as their main energy weapon.
People who I shouldn't take PvP advice from.
Well, I have my answer. This is basically just a dead post. Thanks for keeping things civil.

2 RepliesAim assist and bullet magnetism are the same thing. Increasing your aim assist stat is what gives you better bullet magnetism.

Edited by CJ: 1/20/2020 12:59:33 PMAim assist in its entirety matters less on PC, which is where SR really sees its usage. It's a mixture of bullet magnetism alone, perk combinations, base stats, RPM category and the state of hand cannon range. As it is, there's little to no incentive to use 140, 110 or 180 RPM hand cannons, since 150's like Spare Rations and Waking Vigil do the same job at relatively the same range, and at a quicker pace.
-
One of the very low amount of 150's.

Because it’s spam-able. That’s what destiny is all about if you haven’t figured it out yet. Spam your handcannon, spam your shotgun, spam melee with your super active. Rinse repeat.
-
The range nerf brought it to the front of the line.

Edited by Infamous067: 1/18/2020 4:22:26 AMIts the most broken hand cannon in the game in terms of aim assist, on pc its even worse, I found out that high aim assist on pc actually increases the hitbox on the person you shoot so thats why its extremely consistent. Today I also happen to find out that flinch in this game actually helps snipers or anything really land exactly on your head without the person having to fix their reticle or anything. Destiny is the most noob friendly fps I have ever played, its frustrating to know that people are not actually landing headshots on you with skill, they are simply abusing the gigantic hitboxes in the game and using the flinch mechanic to get extremely easy headshots.

5 RepliesAim assist Range Rapid hit Kill clip Rangefinder RPM

Because its the most consistent Hand Cannon in the game. Its got good raw stats, great perk selection, and its fairly easily farmable. The trifecta of popular weapons.

Weird to say but I love it more in PvE then PvP, I’ve got about 3 main rolls I enjoy using while I cruise through PvE with it. The gun feels phenomenal and just cranking headshot after headshot makes it so nice when iron is active or you just want to mow down groups.
-
I'm probably gonna get angry fans but I hate the handcannon. I still perfer midnight coup, lunas, Erina, ace and kindled orchid. Rations just feels...bad to use....
-
I don't know. I tried using it to finish the hand cannon kills part for this seasons iron banana quest and I had zero luck with it. I never ever ever use hand cannons, I hate them with a passion. So being forced to use them was annoying but I got that part done and it was pretty easy once I figured out what gun to use. I tried spare rations first because everyone says how awesome it is and I had 3 different god roll ones just hanging out in my vault. I was destroyed trying to use all 3 of them. So then I tried using service revolver instead and that gun in my opinion is 1000 times better than spare rations. On another character I tried using sunshot and I even liked that gun waaaaaaaay more than spare rations. Then I was on a bit of a hand cannon kick in pvp and tried a few other ones and just about ever other hand cannon I tried using I liked a lot more and did a lot better with compared to spare rations. I just think that gun is overhyped by streamers.

The fact it has 92 aim assist is probably the reason. You can just forget how to aim
-
Good aim-assist, high stability. Which for a hand cannon means a good, vertical recoil pattern.
-
1 ReplyIts both. Getting REAL tired of seeing that and mindbenders. All the time.

For fun I tried stacking an opening shot, targeting adjuster, lucky pants, and chimera hand cannon, it may as well have shot itself I've hit shots on people behind walls

8 RepliesBullet magnetism isn’t a thing. With the right roll it’s easy to handle. Has a great TTK. Has enough aim assist a toddler could consistently land headshot with. Has a large magazine naturally. Great base stats all around. IMO it it’s actually a good looking gun. Most Gambit prime ones are...

5 RepliesBoth of these poll answers are wrong. The powerful perk rolls and forgiving nature of the gun are why it's so popular. The meta has gotten so ruthless that missing a shot with a slow-firing weapon often equals death.
-
- Extremely easy to use - Most Powerful primary archetype in the game - most forgiving variant of the most forgiving weapons class in the game due mostly to a more Extreme magazine size than the rest of the archetype - Pretty snappy handling - Fast reload considering the fact that it has a mag size that some Cannons going all in on Mag Size can barely tie
-
I see a lot of people with disgusting rolls that are way better than anything I have.
-
It’s those 2 things in your poll, the perk pool for the gun is WAYYY better than literally every hand-cannon in the game, it’s the best HC archetype, and the special weapons (mindbender, erentil, LoW, beloved,etc..) are also way better special weapons than majority of the kinetic special weapons. It’s also extremely easy to use so it’s pretty hard to find a reason to not spare rations.

4 RepliesIt's also the archetype. I think it's the only 150 with random rolls?
