There is so much to do and none of it matters~Datto

This seems to hit the nail on the head for me. In the current state of the game, there just isn’t anything exciting anymore. There are a lot of things that I have not done in D2. I did everything there was to do in D1 and enjoyed it thoroughly. In D2 it just doesn’t seem to be worth the time. I play solo almost exclusively and that make raids and high level PvE almost impossible. To try and find a group that would be cool with running me through a raid is difficult, if not impossible. Even if I could find this group, what would be worth chasing? The weapons and armor from the raids pale in comparison to what we received in D1. But hey, what do I know? Edit: 800 responses and not a word from Bungie. Who would have guessed?

  • Datto has every single seal in the game, so of course there’s nothing to do because he literally did it all already. It’s like a gambler complaining about spending all their money because they’re addicted- oh wait that just summed it up perfectly. Datto and many other gamers alike who have as much playtime and time devoted to Destiny are in themselves addicted to this game. It’s a lifestyle addiction. Despite all of these complaints people simply can’t help themselves to stop playing, or take a break. But if this game is earning you a living of course you won’t stop. The thing is though unlike Datto and other streamers the vast majority of destiny’s population don’t earn a penny while playing, and yet the amount of time dunked into this game for many have reached absurd levels throughout these last 5 years. Destiny 2 in itself can use a shit ton of improvements, but given the nature of the past of how D1 had a 3 year life cycle it’s likely D2 will suffer the same fate. It’s all a build up to D3. Otherwise what reason would we have to continue? The plan is to blue ball the everlasting shit out of the player base until Destiny 3 is concluded. That is the 10 year plan after all TLDR; Bungies plan is to keep us addicted to playing to this game. It’s working and it’s been working.
