I remember a time when I’d try and get all three to max level.
But it doesn’t matter anymore.
I main a Warlock and sometimes look sadly at my Hunter and Titan..but there’s no incentive to play them.
No storylines for each character - just repetition of what I’ve done.
I’ve stopped running strikes ...apart from the odd occasion..as the loot is just the same and I can’t recall playing Gambit in months...
I’m not angry.
I’m sad. I’m sad that great opportunities have been missed to put things in a better place.
I’m sad because good people, good clan mates have left.
I still play but it’s half hearted and unenthusiastic. I play other games as well so I’m not missing out on gaming...
But Destiny could have been so good.
And I’m sad that it’s not.

1 ReplyI just made a D2 in a nut shell post that is similar to what you are saying. The game is becoming less and less worth playing with a system geared to F2P and little to no effort. I miss playing this game almost everyday and having motivation and a reason to login. I login half the time and logout shortly after realizing I have nothing to do lol.
-
I’m downloading D1 right now just for the strikes.
-
3 RepliesI haven’t really touched my Titan or warlock since before there was even dlc in d2. The only reason they are up in level in the slightest is because of the gear level boost and logging onto them to grab the season armor. 🤷🏻♂️ I love leap of doom titan and Zeus warlock, but I just barely am able to make myself play my hunter for getting the season done without getting super bored. And I’m sick of being pushed towards pvp. Dunno if I will even finish the “impossible task” quest because of the forced pvp.

Dude I just played on my Hunter for the first time since forsaken (I just wanted to do the dungeons tbh) and after the first mission of shadowkeep I just stopped. Campaign is so bad I couldn't be bothered to do it again. At least they gave me access to PoH after the first mission cause I would've went straight back to my warlock. (Which I did actually after doing both dungeons)

12 RepliesTbh I’ve seen no reason to. To do what? Grind those 10 pinnacle levels? Just for the cap to b raised by 10 next season? Power is pretty pointless. At this point I’m just waiting till the title can be obtained before putting the game back down till next season. This seasonal FOMO/maximum profit model is really sucking the fun out of the game
-
The overgrind got to me before, it was during Solstice, getting that armor. Ugh! I finished one, came back two weeks later, tried to force play Destiny 2, nope. I felt literally physically ill. It was weird. I never felt physically sick from a video game before, until then. So, it's probably dangerous to force yourself in an overgrind like that.

1 ReplyHell, I don't even try to get my main to max level. If my buds didn't ask me to help with the dungeon, 100k Nightfall, and Nightmare Hunts, I'd be done this season. And I haven't even finished the pass.

1 ReplyI miss playing all 3 every reset. I miss the friends and clan mates who’ve moved on. We had great times in d1 and into d2 were things fell apart. We had raid nights , crucible nights and weekly gatherings. Now it’s quiet on the clan front . We used to have 30-40 close people on any given time . Now it’s lucky to have 1 or 2 . Playing on one toon is tough enough but 3 forget about it . It’s still the same old stuff same old activities . Destiny 2 has run its course I’m afraid for me and many others. They can’t refresh enough content to make things interesting enough to keep plugging away. Same lost sectors same strikes same enemies and same weapons . What’s the incentive ? Just an arbitrary power level that doesn’t matter ? What’s to chase? What loot will change my loadout and make the same old content interesting again? It is sad . I want to play destiny just can’t bring myself to do it much anymore .

1 ReplyBring back faction class exotics

9 RepliesEdited by YATM: 1/18/2020 2:04:18 PMAnd easy way to fix this would be to go the anthem route in which you have one guardian that can play three different roles. Need to be a titan put on your Titan suit need to be a warlock put on your warlock suit and etc. etc.

3 RepliesI remember making titans nonstop to try and get all the Crota gear on my Titan back in D1. Good times
-
I’ve barely touched my other two characters since BA dropped and that was just for more chances at getting the exotics from the forges. There used to be a time when I was rushing at the end of the week to get everything done with all three, now I don’t really care what I get done with any of them. It’s all about the bounty grind of boredom now.
-
Only back to take part in the Corridors of Time "Quest-thing". I want it to lead to something cool, amazing, and worth the effort. But....unfortunately....I doubt it....I don't want to...but I do.
-
1 ReplyThere's never been storyline for each character That's now starting to annoy you nearly 6 years later?
-
I play one character each season only play the other character for core bounties
-
They should just let you transform a piece of gear to the corresponding piece for whichever character you want. Bungie: “Ok, that will be 5 ascendant shards and 15 masterwork cores.”
-
Barely play one honestly. I get on about once or twice a week to grind for Lectern drop pulse rifle and that’s it lol. Still a die hard fan but am pretty burnt out.
-
Same - d1 o would love in every day and do all the bounties on all 3 characters for vendor rep... D2 I don’t even play much anymore and when I do it’s just my titan....
-
I used to play all 3 back in D1. I stopped after doing that when D2 launched

6 RepliesI can’t stand playing any characters in this game. Haven’t played since November and won’t again. Bungie has royally screwed this game up. No direction, no continuity, no cohesiveness, and no leadership. Luke Smith is the worst game director in the history of games. He admittedly states he doesn’t even play his own game, nor is it even his passion ( why are you even here dude ). And, DeeJ is by far the dullest person working at Bungie. His live streams are a yawn fest and lack any energy and the hype falls flat each and every time. He can’t even ask or answer basic questions and his lack of knowledge of the game is mind boggling. He is so awkward with his jokes and makes it creepy uncomfortable to even watch. I mean wow, how is this guy the face of the game when it comes to hype and reveals... Bungie leadership is so lost. The only thing that will ever save this game is Bungie selling it off to another studio (god willing). 5+ years and what we have today is the best Destiny possible?!? Give me a break... 🙄

Amen. Though, an important note , I WOULD play all three per week if we were allowed three of the same class. Now before you get your pitchforks and say 'Nyerrrr you actually can have three of the same', let me expand. Yes you can have three of the same class but thee are no loot drops from any raid for other two. So to clafify, you have there warlocks. You complete Last Wish on warlock A and get powerful rewards (powerful-ish). You then complete Last Wish with Warlocks B and C and get nothing. Nada. If limited drops could redrop up to two more times in total at your current light level, it would give alot more incentive to raid more than once. Destiny 1 allowed this, but they stopped this in Destiny 2 due to multiple characters of the same class giving an unfair light advantage in raid races.

3 RepliesI main a different character each season, it’s the only way I’ve enjoyed it
-
This was THE main, unexpected issue with how they changed the game to infinite LL grind a while back. There’s just no time in the day to keep up all characters. I used to have three different characters, all with different builds and looks built around different exotics and subclasses. Not the case anymore.

1 ReplyEdited by EasilyEnraged: 1/17/2020 12:35:51 PMI feel ya on the clan thing. I had a very small clan of friends at about 9 or 10. I'm the last man standing. Nibody has played since the end of the first year and many quit after the Osiris dlc. 😔
