Is there an exact list of what programs can get you banned?

Hi there! So, I'm still fairly new to PC. I finally made the move, even though part of me was terrified to play Destiny on it due to lots of people getting banned. Anyhow, I don't really know a lot of PC lingo. So when I see something like "third party programs" or "debuggers" or "cheat suite", I'm at a loss to know what that all means. With that being said, is there a place where I can see the exact names of the programs and so on that Bungie doesn't allow? Also, I have a few single player games like Skyrim or Fallout that I may want to mod in the future when I think I'm ready for that. What precautions do I need to take to make sure Bungie won't tag that on my PC? Is it as simple as going to task manager and killing everything besides Destiny? Or do I gotta do some funky settings stuff and reboot my PC? So far, the things I usually have running in the background while playing Destiny 2 is: -Steam -Discord (Overlay turned off for Destiny although I didn't think it works anyways) -Windows Game Bar Overlay -Spotify Will these be an issue? Also, is there anything from MSI, AMD, or nVidida that I need to make sure to delete/kill? Thank you -a really concerned gaurdian

None of the ones you listed would be an issues main ones you don't want are cheat engine, wemod, any trainer from any game, artmoney, emulators of any sort, debuggers, school programs, notepad++, etc. Basically if it's open source, not mainstream, a cheat program/trainer from another game, anything not mainstream like Nvidia/Spotify/amd/chrome/Firefox/ etc. If you have to ask about it it probably shouldn't be open.

      • None of these standard programs are an issue. The ones that will get you banned are programs that are designed to cheat at video games, by inserting code into the game. Rarely viruses that are designed to do the same can cause problems. So make sure to keep your PC anit-virus software up to date.
