Golden gun
Way of the Sharpshooter should one shot supers no matter where it hits because it’s so weak. It’s not like it rapid fires. It’s 3 bullets, don’t know why Bungie changed this but it needs buffed.

We cant have a 1 shot to the body super that also has a one shot melee ability. Sure the other classes do but they are imbalanced and will likely have bungies nerf squad show up for it. Looking at you hand held super nova with the exotic.

1 ReplyAs a hunter main I can honestly say that there is no buff desperately needed. If there was one at all it would be to the duration of the super, but that's not really necessary, just find a better moment to use the super.

5 RepliesOur whole gambit team got wrecked by golden gun invader soooooooo many times I swear he was able to load his super way faster then anyone else....he had 17 kills 😭 please dont buff anymore it's already good!

It can. You just need to hit a headshot, since it is the Sharpshooter subclass

It needs a buff, you hear a golden gun start and everyone scurries for cover into a enclosed space. It needs super armor and considering it is only 3 shots with hitscan yes it needs it. Snipers are hitscan so are fusions and shotguns. Get into a enclosed space to chase the people running and the super is not worth a dam since it has no armor. Titans hammers have armor and while it’s not hitscan it can throw I think the AoE impacts on top tree and burning dots on bottom can cover the fact that they are not hitscan.

I don’t mind the shots requiring a crit to kill supers. But I’d prefer if it had better duration, armor and speed. Now it’s so easy to kill or wait it out... it’s pretty underwhelming.

1 ReplyIts a hitscan super, aim for the head? Its a long range hit scan super. If you are dying to another super then you clearly used it at close range which is why you are getting wrecked, golden gun doesn’t have armor, the trick is to keep your distance. I don’t main hunter but I do have one and the golden gun is amazing when I do use it.

3 Replies3 hit scan super shut down bullets was what d1 golden gun was and unless you caught a Hunter off guard there was no beating it with another super. Nothing should be so powerful you can't contest it unless they suck. And that might not sound powerful but hit scan is a REALLY powerful benefit in everything. This gives it the advantage of both range and speed over any super. Plus it's not exactly hard to hit headshots with it because it has max aim assist and more bullet magnetism than the halo 4 sniper. It seriously doesn't need to be buffed like that. Year 3 d1 PvP made the mistake of doing that and I still hate it for it.

I feel like bungie's way of thinking for this is that it's neutral game is suppose to make up for the lackluster super in pvp.
