Wish Ender was supposed to be this cool different exotic when it came out; however, just like the majority of other exotics... it literally SUCKED. finally, there’s a glitch where it does really good damage. Yes, it is a glitch and is technically broken but for ONCE it was fun to use.
If I have learned one thing about Bungie since the 2014 beta till now; if there is ANYTHING broken that Benefits the player, they will rush to work at midnight to disable and rush to fix the bug. If it doesn’t benefit the player; see ya in 6 -blam!-ing month for a fix. This shit pisses ppl off so much due to wishing the game would just get better on so many fronts!
Let’s go over a short list:
Things that benefitted the player that were immediately fixed or disabled:
Jotuun
Winters guile
Wormgod
Wishender
Telesto
Telesto
Telesto
Loot cave
PvP map glitches
Damage perks being good
Pinnacles being good
(I’m sure the list goes on)
Things that do not benefit the player that may never be fixed:
EDZ obelisk
Servers
Error codes galore
Breakneck
Terrible map design
Broken exotic quests
Cheater spam on PC
Love Bounty/quest progress for many quests not registering
Hand cannon bloom
Erentil
Terrible new light story/game progression not streamlined
Loot incentives for Legend Sundial
(While it was a thing) Vex offensive Final Letdown
And the list could literally continue
Feel free to add to the list in the comment section below!!!!
Edit: the Bungie apologists and super fan bois are in full force today. Love ruffling all the feathers; is great!
it only brings more awareness to the issues in the game
Wish ender is broken. It needed a 75-100% buff, not a 400% buff.
-
These bugs come and go. It won’t be long until there’s a new one. You just have to learn to enjoy them while they last.
-
2 Repliestry getting good. It a fix not a nerf.

11 RepliesEdited by Howard MoonXLII: 1/11/2020 8:54:50 PMSomething is broken, and is getting fixed. Not a nerf. Funny how you attempt to disparage people who disagree with you by calling them names. Really showing your true colors.

9 RepliesIt's not a nerf, it's a bug fix, it was never meant to be that powerful. Why would they want one gun in the game that flat out outperforms every other gun in the game? Of course they're going to fix it.
-
5 RepliesIt finally feels like it should. This is the most people have used it since it came out, because it feels exactly like it should.
-
Don't forget the Destination Calibration from Banshee which is broken for 4 weeks now and no fix in sight. They probably want us to use this Eververse bullsh*t item which costs bright dust to get Upgrade Matrix. btt: Why not leave Wish Ender as it is and move it to Special Ammo :D With the same amount of arrows and not this Leviathans Breath crap.
-
2 RepliesBungie don't want us to have fun I'm playing Blands 3 atm, and the thought and imagination they've put into the majority of the guns, leaves D2 wanting. And guess what?
It's fun

like destiny should be
So true. Anything that benefits the player gets fixed fast

Finally an exotic that truly feels like an exotic now it will be useless again

Things that benefitted the player that were immediately fixed or disabled: PvP map glitches Things that do not benefit the player that may never be fixed: Cheater spam on PC
How can you think fixing PVP map glitches immediately is a bad thing, yet complain that there are cheaters in PVP. Did you enjoy people going outside of the map to get free kills on you? Were you one of the players that exploited Out of Bounds areas? Doesn't really add up. Besides that massive logic falacy, your list of things that were patched quickly are things that are pretty broken in the game. Do you think you should be able to get your entire super by firing a Telesto bolt at the ground? Do you think you should be able to Solo a raid boss in 4 melee hits? Do you think spamming Wardcliff Coil should result in infinite heavy ammo? (last one was not on your list). The game sometimes produces game breaking mechanics, which can be fun for a time, but need to be fixed as they break the game. Do you really think Wishender is supposed to damage a target 6-8 times while passing through? Stop complaining about the game removing your new crutch...

On the upside, they've already specifically acknowledged that folks have had fun with a more powerful slant on bows. Hopefully we see a nod to that in a future sandbox update.

3 RepliesEdited by jimk72: 1/13/2020 3:16:23 PMI really don’t get all the negative comments. I like wishender. It still takes me 3 head shots in the pit to kill a yellow knight. Yet izanagi guys just one shot it. But that’s ok?? I do not like snipers, hand cannons, or rocketlaunchers so why should I be forced to use them. It’s an exotic bow it should have been this good from the beginning. If you like bows you should have an exotic one that does just as much damage as a sniper exotic. If you like sniper rifles than you prob run izanagis. I did the quest for it and even masterworked it and it still sits in my vault. I don’t get it. The more damage your fellow guardians can do the quicker the boss will go down. Is that a bad thing? Should we all just use izanagis and then that’s ok? I am sure most people complaining to fix it are all izanagis users that want to make sure they are the only powerful guardians in the game. Get over it.
-
Agree, I like wish endear right now and it will be sad to vault it again. Doesn’t hurt pvp, and although it is powerful in gambit, gambit is a lost cause anyway. I don’t see why they need to nerf it.
-
Yup, that’s a lot of nerfs. And we’ve had to hear a lot of crying with each of them.😂
-
1 ReplyStopped reading as soon as you mentioned Jotunn as benefitting players, Fk off and stop crying because your crutches have been fixed. Wishenders is bugged, it's not a nerf.
-
You forgot telesto lol It should be on there like 10 times
-
-
1 ReplyI've seen way too many people using it exclusively, it's seeing a lot of use in Gambit right now where it really shouldn't be excelling that much and I've seen it in certain activities that require quick kills. Using a bow exclusively just because it's overpowered in certain situations and then having it not translate well to other activities is very annoying, especially if you're trying to get it done quickly. Forges and certain raids being the worst offenders right now.
-
11 RepliesNot a nerf because the current way Wish Ender works is not intended. Therefore, it is a bug fix. And as a result, this post loses any real validity for misunderstanding what a nerf is and isn't. While I have many gripes with the game, it is important to focus on things that directly impact the player experience. If Wish Ender was determined to be enough of an issue that it needed to be addressed, than so be it. Besides, if this fix means I'll stop getting teammates that sit in the back and think they're being useful by killing the occasional ad, then it'll be about time the fix happens. Seriously tired of having to pick up the slack for randoms that think Wish Ender is the best thing ever.
-
6 RepliesYou nerds never cease to amuse me. Wish Ender was bugged so it's getting patched. What you guys should be asking for is a rework of bows all together. There is only a handful of good bows. Hush is decent in a variety content(surprisingly good as an anti barrier weapon) and precision frames with rampage in PvP(which is still pretty niche). This bug just highlights that bows need to be reworked all together if they ever want to be used going forward.
-
5 RepliesIt's trivializing content, sorry kid, it needs to be fixed. Do exotic primaries need help? Yes. It keeping the wish ended the way it is and allowing power creep to happen again a good idea? Hell no. It's been broken for a while, don't act like this is one of those things that bungie immediately fixed to annoy us.
-
2 Replieswasnt wish-ender broken since season of dawn launched? wasnt that like, a month ago now? so a month is an overnight fix? yeah anybody that brings a modicum of sense is labeled a "fanboy" but your somehow NOT an edgy hater?
-
Alongside the fix they could’ve maybe buffed the bow to make it somewhat better, but apparently tuning numbers takes months longer than code design behind a weapon bug.
-
3 RepliesTotally agree, wishender is fine as it is right now
-
You forgot the "Jokers Wild" with the xur quest cards. They knew about the problem 2 weeks before it went live, and it was not fixed till 4 weeks after it went live.
