Honestly it just feels like a slogfest each season.
Hardly any story, yay they brought saint 14, he'll be obsolete in 2 months.
What i remember and enjoyed about D1 was after the story for taken king there was that quest afterwards.
Now it's focused on grinds and what gets the better roll.
Each season makes you reset your progress.
End rant
P.s. can't wait to see all the get gud trolls or the people who defend the repeatable grindfest.

No one has a gun to your head forcing you to play the game. Take a break.
-
Take a break. We asked for no content droughts, and this is the only way that is possible. This has always been a loot-driven game, not a story driven one. Otherwise vanilla Destiny 2 wouldn’t have been the disaster it was.
-
1 ReplyThis game is just not what it used to be and people don't care. The everworse loot went from earnable to around $1,500 a year and all people say is just don't buy it. The game calls itself evolving, but we have to restart from scratch every season? That's not evolving. Welcome to the sad new standard of games. Just play and pay.
-
Take a break mate, come back when you're well rested or go find another game, nobody hating on ya here :) We play video games for fun, if you're not having fun then maybe this isn't the one for you
-
Me too.If i knew the seasons would be this grind shit i would not buy the season pass. Iam sick just thinking to level to 100 fourth times in season 11. Deja Vu. The Shadowkeep expansion already raised some concerns. Black pyramid conveniently hiding behind a rock wall for a easy moon copy paste. Nightmares for easy old boss content copy paste. Vex Invasion Final assault than nailed the coffin. Then in the new season in addition to drip feed content we also received new level of lagfest and insane amount of bugs as a bonus. The season introduction exotic scout is still unusable after month with stop firing bug.
-
Same. This season broke me. And we have more rehashed horde modes and doing hundreds of bounties to look forward to if we continue.
-
Some of the rewards are just as pathetic as the non-storylines, yet they push eververse whenever they can, I love Destiny but am so sick of the massive grind to do some simple item and at the end of it, you just get crap. Bungie needs to get with the program and offer better rewards for the grind.

6 RepliesEdited by Manslave2Eris: 1/11/2020 5:32:38 AMMaybe it's time to take a break or maybe it's time to move on to a different game altogether. Hopefully you will be able to look back and enjoy the good times you had instead of just the end where you got burned out and think about what you felt 'could have been'. Once I'm gone for good then I'll have plenty of good memories with the time I spent not only with the game but also the vast loads of entertainment I've gotten out of the forums during the journey. Good luck and always remember... They are nothing more than video games. :)

no you’re right .. the stupid asshat at bungie cut the heart out of the game and still expect us to play for garbage or even worse and never ending repeat of blues while they nerf everything to death just for the he’ll of it. I’ve been playing destiny since 2014 and even I can’t stan the direction where they’re pointing this game towards ... they want new players but they still want to bog players down with mandatory quest and never giving people real choice in game which results are in players like yourself been burnt out by the process. What needs to happen is bungie going back to the old formula of what made destiny great and not the garbage we have now

4 RepliesSeason model is a huge fail in my book. Nothing but boring. repetitive crap content that isn't fun or purposeful

1 ReplyEdited by OBI-SWEDE KENOBI: 1/12/2020 11:07:44 AMThey are making the same mistake as COD made with adding a lot of useless low value stuff instead of focusing on story and fixing the existing issues. Armor 2.0, cruicable, constant nerfs, eververs (being a money grabbing -blam!-) auto dismantling of blues etc. I mean seriously, is that the best you could do for devils ruin....going around searching for stuff? It seems like Bungie dev team is tired, out of ideas and just lazy.

Edited by Kang_81: 1/13/2020 5:27:45 PMI deleted D2 back in October, pre-Shadowkeep. I’ve been ignoring the game since then, up until this week. I caved and bought Shadowkeep since it’s on sale and I was interested in the story, what little there will be I’m sure. It’s the end of the week now and I haven’t even touched any Shadowkeep content. It’s been the same boring grind. Grab bounties, complete bounties, grab more bounties, complete more bounties, grab more bounties...blah blah blah. 😒 I don’t like how so much of the progression is tied to bounties. They were a fun addition in D1, but you could do them at your leisure, come back a month later if you so desired, and boom, continue where you left off. I’m fine with bounties rotating daily, but the stupid time restrictions put on them ruin them. Sure, you don’t have to do them, but your at a disadvantage if you ignore them. Worse, the amount of wasted time traveling to and from bounty givers is beyond aggravating. Bungie desperately needs to add a bounty board at all locations so we can grab bounties from anywhere without needing to fast travel. Sort of like the way the tower obelisk lets you grab bounties from any of the other planet side obelisks from one location. Someone suggested just adding a tab to the director that lets us grab any and all bounties and claim them without having to travel anywhere. I’m going to try and knock out the Shadowkeep story soon and then I’ll likely play very causally. It’s the gunplay that always brings me back as it really is second to none. I just wish the game was more focused on story like a traditional co-op game. I realized soon after D1’s launch that wouldn’t be the case, but I still had hope.

Take a break. It's not like the seasonal content is going to disappear.
-
I've been taking a break from the game "as a hobby". I've been playing other games and coming back to destiny once in a while when I feel like it. But the game isn't designed for that, unfortunately. It feels good to shoot stuff in the face, but other than that, I've not enjoyed the game in a while... Specially since this season pass stuff got to be the focus. It seems as if bungie is trying to get the fortnite kids to play destiny. That sucks. Anyway, feels bad as a fan of the destiny franchise, but there are plenty of good games to play. It was fun while it lasted, I guess.

4 RepliesI just deleted the game off my console myself after playing Gambit and seeing people not even trying to collect the motes and put an effort into winning the match. I was trying to do that Breakneck quest and you have to complete 40 matches to get it along with other stuff which I felt was way too long. The Iron Banner quest to unlock Lord Sadalin to turn in your tokens was also a factor in me deleting the game. I quit before Forsaken came out because I was burned out and was really annoyed with the stuff Bungie was pulling with throttling exp to slow everyone down from getting Eververse Engrams after each level up. I did not like the idea of them killing off Cayde 6 at the time and just left and was gone for a year. Then came back after seeing Youtube Videos talking about Forsaken and how the Darkness was coming back and changes made to the armor. Now I feel I am done for good. I am going to avoid anything with the Bungie name slapped on it. I don't feel they are going to last much longer anyways.

34 RepliesInside the Bungie Story Development room .. "We're going to bring back Saint 14" "Nice. the greatest Titan of all time. What's the endgame on this ??" "Gonna stick him in the Hangar and have him sell four Bounties a day" "Awesome. As pointless as Ikora then ??" "Exactly" "Yup"

You should pick up obelisk bounties. 320 Cabal headshots with a Bow. Fallen Captains headshots while kneeling. 460 Scout triple kills on a Rainy Tuesday. So much fun👍
-
3 RepliesStop playing then. No use complaining about it everywhere.
-
I’m surprised this post isn’t filled with git gud m8 nice b8
-
Take a break, come back if you feel like it. No need to force yourself to do something for fun if it isn't fun
-
Game is a boring chore list.
-
There are plenty of games that are more rewarding and satisfying than this mess.
-
It’s easy to get burned out when they stopped giving a shit about the game. I thought season of fundying was bad but the season of yawn is the laziest shit I’ve ever seen.
-
I took a break from D2 for 3 weeks now. As i solo player i am overwhelmed with content and the season pass module feels like a chore to me. I will return as i feel a break was needed.
-
1 ReplyTurned my game off last night for the first time since December 2017 and played Metro Exodus. D2 has just become a boring grind fest.
-
There's only so many shoot this and that 100 times. I'm pretty much finished with it. As soon as I get Mountain Top I think I will be done this season apart from the odd clan activities once a week
