Mouse left click not working randomly when trying to shoot
Possible Logitech / G-Hub issue with the game
So I'm having this weird issue with Destiny since I changed my mouse, around the same time D2 moved to steam. The issue is that sometimes when I Left click to shoot - it does nothing. It only happens when I play crucible. I could never replicate the issue, and I tried countless times in PVE, other games, mouse testing software, every click gets detected. It happens exclusively in PvP when i try to shoot from slide/ads or just normally. I played thousands of hours before so the issue is not anything i'm doing.
At first i thought it was the mouse switches, so i soldered kailh gm 4.0 reds, into my G502 LightSpeed. But the issue still exists. It happens on both wired or wireless mode. Another person told me it happens on his g pro wireless too.
I was thinking of installing some software that shows clicks on screen just to try to figure out what is going on, but i'm not sure if such software is allowed since D2 is very restrictive of overlays. So any input regarding that is appreciated.
If someone could point me in the right direction or just confirm such issue is happening to them, that would be great. Thanks
EDIT: It would also be helpful if someone says the issue doesn't happen to them on logitech/g-hub sw mouse

Hello and greetings from germany, i have the same problem with my mouse (mice) i now use the g502 x lightspeed and i cant aim and shoot right i have to click the buttons like 10 times to shoot 5 times... very unsatisfying. I really dont have any fun anymore to play destiny... whs bungie doesnt fix it ? i testet it with lightspeed and cable both the same issue... sad that the problem is klniw since 2020 and now there is 2025 and bungie cant fix the issue in 5 years... testest the g hub problem with the 502x plus / 502 lightspeed / 502 cable all tstest with and without cable if possible alwasy the same issue pls help i cant play destiny anymore

Well in the meantime i figured out it happens exclusively when you open the steam overlay by inspecting someone and then escaping back to the game, the first click will never register. Bungie never acknowleged the problem but i noticed they did some ducktape fix where you randomly start shooting after closing the overlay, might be a different bug. But the original issue still happens after 3 years.

2 RepliesHi, its 2023 and I have the same problem. My left click just stops working, even after I quit the game. I'm also using Logitech G502 Xplus. Did you manage to find a fix or just wait the problem away?

Especially when fast switching/ADS. Please fix @BungieHelp <3 EDIT: mouse is razer deathadder v2 pro both wireless and wired. Doesn't matter. Tried zowie + logitech too, same issue.

2 RepliesHaving the same issue as yourself, thought it was my mouse on its way out (Razer Deathadder Elite v1) after having no issues with it for nearly 2 years of use. Replaced the mouse for same model and had the exact same issues. Seems to be more noticeable when playing crucible and using mountaintop (that click of the mouse and nothing happens...). I have only noticed this problem in the past month or so after a new build, but may have a theory of what may be causing my issue at least but may help others here (will do some testing as well). I have a GTX1080 and an LG monitor that has AMD's FreeSync. I had some issues with refresh rate on my monitor not staying fixed in this game so I enabled the "Max Frame Rate" option in the NVIDIA control panel and set it to my monitors refresh rate. This has fixed my refresh rate issue but may have introduced the current mouse click issue with regards to maybe dropping frames and causing a mouse input/lag issue? As I said, will do some testing and report back but it may be worth people testing this themselves and reporting back :)

1 ReplyThis has happened on 4 different mice, As I see you are a Mouse enthusiast as well. I have tried 2 modded UL2's 3 different g pros all with different switches and 1 s2 divinia stock. All mice have had the same issue. Its more noticeable for me on spawn as well. I have had more than 1 notable pvp player tell me they have experienced this, and I havent seen any threads except this

I'll have games where it works fine then games where suddenly I click and it doesn't shoot (often after having died and re-spawning). Then there is also the weird bug some players seem to have uncovered that allows them to dodge rockets like they are on your team rather than the opposing team. The rocket literally hits them and ricochets off them like it does off other guardians in PvE. (Don't even get me started on people who can take a direct hit from a Mountaintop rocket plus several gunshots and not die from the damage. This game is a mess...)
