My old xbox one died and I recently got an all digital edition one and wanted to play Destiny 1 again. I own the physical edition of Destiny The Collection so I already have all the DLCs and expansions activated on my account I just obviously cannot play the game as the disc is required for the base game to function as more than a trial. Is there any way to get a digital key for the base game or have the powers that be to convert my physical (everything but the base game came as a code anyway) version to a digital copy since the disc only works for the base game anyway and would be useless to anyone else without them spending money on the expansions.

2 RepliesEdited by ADragonWithin: 1/8/2020 4:44:30 AMThe Digital version of Destiny 1 is not available as a separate purchase. It was 59.99 USD (or your equivalent), and when the Destiny - The Taken King - Legendary Edition came out for 59.99 that included the Destiny game, all for the same price, the digital version of Destiny was removed from platform stores. The same holds true for Destiny: The Collection. It's 59.99, the same price that Destiny would have been if purchased while it was originally available for download all on its own. You are not losing any money for purchasing Destiny: The Collection over purchasing it while it was available for individual purchase; they're the same exact price. Even though you already own all the DLCs, the only way you can purchase Destiny 1 digitally now is through purchasing the Destiny: Collection on the Microsoft Xbox Store. The DLC licenses will simply overlap, and this will give you the Destiny 1 digital license. Unfortunately, neither Bungie nor Microsoft will give you a free code for Destiny just because you own the physical disc; if you want the digital license, you'll have to purchase it.

3 RepliesNo. Just get a new disc from the discount bin at GameStop.
