How to play Competitive Crucible

Hey guys, This post is for all the players joining freelance Survival or Survival crucible. I want to make a guide for players who either just got done playing call of duty or regular crucible / rumble because there is always players who run to challenge the opposing team with a life advantage. #1 Competitive crucible is the Survival Playlist! If you joined this mode because the logo reminds you of Harry Potter, you should be aware that your team mates are going to be critical of your game play. Also the other team will be BMing you relentlessly and possibly hurting your feelings. #2 When playing competitive crucible, you should absolutely join a voice chat whether thats the in game fireteam voice chat or a Xbox party. Communication can win games. You can talk with your team while loading in to determine strategies or simply scanning over the competitions arsenal and maybe calling things out like "They have two titans with Dust rock blues, maxed speed stats, and insurmountable skullfort helmets". That type of info would tell the team, hey they like shoulder charging and when they arent doing that, they slide shotgun. #3 Play as a team. Do not go off on your own for 1v1 challenges. This will never work for you. More than likely, you will never find yourself in a 1v1 situation unless everyone else is dead. Usually you will find yourself in a 1v2 or 1v3 scenario which will get your team mates shooting at you or sending you angry messages. The easiest wins are when you are on the giving end of a 2v1 or 3v1 scenario which is mostly your goal. Separate the enemy team is possible and pick them off. #4 Dont save your supers! unless it would advantageous for you later or you dont need it. You can get 2 supers at a minimum in a match. If you wait, then you only will have the 1. Also be strategeous when using the super. I usually wait till the enemies have 0 lives left. Use the super to knock players out of the match. #5 This should probably be #2 but DONT DIE. The team shares a pool of 4 lives outside of the ones you spawn in with. If you go and get yourself killed 3 times, you've seriously undermined your team. This goes well with point #3. If your fighting in groups, you can possibly reduce the risk of your teammates or you dying. Also note, if you have a life advantage, you can win the match when the timer runs out. Pay attention to the lives left and the match time left. If it looks like you have the lead, running away until time runs out is always an option. Winning is winning. #6 Use weapons that you are familiar with or that have a great chance of instant killing the enemy. Shotguns, fusion rifles, certain Hand cannons. If you lack the skills to hit crits than lean on your abilities for kills. Shoulder charge, Hand held super nova, throwing knife. These can one shot and with maxed discipline you can get them back in about 30 seconds. There are exotic armors that can also improve melee recovery. #7 Know the maps. Learn the in and outs and where conflicts usually occur. You do not want to accidentally run into a hot zone. Theres usually a learning curve every season when they bring back old maps or add new ones. Rusted Lands is one example. There is always a clash of snipers right at the spawn points where the oil cylinder is and the brick doorway. Heavy is another constantly conflicted zone on that map. #8 Please do not quit a match because you feel the other team is better. I have turned games around from 0 - 3 deficit and have also lost a 3 - 0 lead before. Leaving a match ensures two things. The match is harder for the remaining players, and you have a loss. There no positive value in leaving early. If you ahve to poop, then please poop before starting a match... I believe there are probably more points to bring up but Ive hit the majority of my concerns. I hate it when a match is thrown because the rando third player is throwing lives away when there is an advantage.
