The Same Instance

Firstly, I LOVE this game, it’s in fantastic shape, full of excellent content and multiple ways to farm great weapons and the obelisks are the biggest jewel in Destiny’s gun hunting crown for me. Fantastic. Now not a complaint as much as an inquiry/suggestion; When hunting “Wanted Enemies” for The Almighty Core we may sometimes find that we’re on the wrong side of the map when the enemy finally appears. Then if we’re sharing that map with a feisty go getter type, that self sufficient person may burn the enemy down long before we can get to it. (They may have forgotten to wave but I’m sure he or she has at least one polite and helpful emote equipped and would have loved to use it but just forgot.) This can help to turn a time consuming but necessary pastime in to a very time consuming pastime. But if we very quickly re-transmat to the same area we may find ourselves in an instance in which the Enemy still lives and be able to complete our bounty. Unless... Unless the game re-transmats us to the same instance where the same enemy has died the same death at the hands of the same “every man for himself” non-waving, forgetful mercenary (whom I forgive and love and respect) So could we please tell the game that if we’re transmatting to an area that we are already in that we would almost certainly only do such a thing in search of a fresh instance? So we always get a fresh instance? So then a very necessary but very time consuming task has less chance of becoming a very, very or even very, very very time consuming test of our patience that due it’s occasionally frustrating nature, can ruin the flow of a fun session and make farming difficult to enjoy? P.S. the one single Enemy who’s appearance I could 100% predict in the Gulch because of his arrival being synchronised with the Forge Saboteur has... heh-heh, sorry it’s quite funny, has had his arrival de-synchronised and re-randomised! Was this just one small step to help ensure that Core farming is as time consuming as possible? Because “Mission Accomplished!” if so but I gotta say I preferred it how it was. It was helpful to at least have that one predictable one. Anyway thank you for your time and all praise The Core! (You ah... happen to know if anyone is selling those beautiful Cores? I’ll pay. I’ll pay right up with big bucks. If you know anyone. But keep that on the low-low yeah? Ok cool)

  • I think this exists so that a fireteam will always be in the same instance as it would be horrible if you and your friend were in the same area but not actually in the same game. It’s likely a coding thing that cannot be changed due to the reasons I stated just. One way around it is if you both transmat to a different section of the map, both load in and then go back to the area you want to be.
