If not, can we have a button that can Disable/Enable Finishers?. . . So we can have option to not use it in-game if we choose to.
Please program a button for it. Thanks Homies!

If you're on PC then just make the button bound to nothing.
-
1 ReplyYou control the buttons you press

You're asking bungie to create a disabled button for a feature they made just to cater to a few people who can't help but misclick? Anything else we can do for you kiddo? Hahahaha nah jk. Maybe.

1 ReplyIt happens to me as well occasionally. I’ll press the thumbstick in while running around (if it happens, it’s most often in gambit) and inadvertently perform a finisher. While it doesn’t bother me very much, and I recognise that it is my fault I do think the option to disable finishers would be a ‘nice to have.’ For everyone that this never happens to, well you wouldn’t need to bother using the finisher on/off toggle.

11 RepliesIt is already programmed on an unused button... What more do you want...its not hard to avoid pressing it in...
-
38 RepliesThe on and off for finishers is your finger. Don’t hit the button then they’re disabled.
-
Funny I've matchmade with you many times over the past years lol
-
Just remove them. They’re just a fluff feature at this point.
-
Agreed. Never saw much of a point in finishers honestly, and a way to disable them would be good to me.
-
1 ReplyI’ve been asking for exactly this a function that you can turn on or off for finishers ..... this would save a lot of frustrations
-
Agreed or assign it to a different button. Personally I hate it.
-
Good news is the new Xbox elite 2 controller allows you to turn this feature on and off at the press of a preset button. It allowed me to turn finishers off, and I couldn't be happier with it.
-
This is a bad place to ask for change or a feature that won't affect a single player's game. You can clearly see the dumb asses in the comments saying "don't press it then" and start name calling you. Their self worth comes from bashing others on online forums like this to make themselves feel more important then they are. Good luck with your request though

16 RepliesIts has its own button. Just dont press it. I mean are people really that lazy?

If not, can we have a button that can Disable/Enable Finishers?. . . So we can have option to not use it in-game if we choose to. Please program a button for it. Thanks Homies!
Just don’t press R3. I admit there are times I sometimes feel that finishers are a waste of effort especially in raids or nightfalls.

1 ReplyYou could try re-mapping the finisher button to another rarely used key to avoid missclicking on it. Wouldn't be that difficult would it?
-
7 RepliesUmm just dont press down on the stick, it's pretty easy

44 RepliesEdited by Unbreakable Patches: 1/4/2020 6:39:49 PMHow do you accidentally use a finisher? That is what’s happening, yeah? Because all you have to do is... not use it.
-
7 RepliesThat button is not used for anything else except finishers..... so.... just don’t press it 🤷🏻♀️
-
1 ReplyYour wish is granted. I have installed a special option within your fingers that will only active a finisher if you choose to with selected finger. You're welcome
-
1 ReplyEdited by Fenrir: 1/5/2020 5:20:13 AMI use them to finish off champions in Master NF's, saves alot of good ammo
-
2 RepliesI never use finishers. I see literally no point to this mechanic. It's so easy to die while doing it. I really don't understand why they were added.
-
1 ReplyI agree, it would be nice to turn them off. Don’t know why so many folks are being jerks about it either. If they don’t have a problem, then this doesn’t affect them. I suspect the issue is that the button on the PS4 controller gets easier to accidentally press as the controller ages. The reason I say that is that I recently got a new one, and I don’t think I’ve unintentionally initiated a finisher using it. I may run a bit on an old one just to check...

3 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 1/4/2020 10:32:35 PMFinishers are extremely useful. You should be useing them all the time in more challenging content to save ammo on tougher targets. The range is also very long( for a melee ability) you dont need to be in their face. Its increases the PvE ttk if your not using special weapons or heavy to out right one shot targets. Sure the finisher mods are crap but that is only because they costs way to many point in the gear to be worth it and consume a set amount of super pending on the one. Edit:If any thing I feel robed for paying 800 silver for my vanity finisher to have it only work if you are firmly planted on the ground. other wise it diverts to the standard out of box finisher even if its not in your inventory! ya got me bungie.

I still forget that they exist

3 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 1/4/2020 7:32:23 PMAnother reason for this is the change to inspecting other players. Instead of simply clicking the stick, we now have to hold the stick down to activate the inspection, making it more difficult because players are usually moving around. Which is ironic because Bungie WANTS us to inspect other player’s gear so we can be amazed and send them messages asking how they got it and if we can be best friends. How am I supposed to make best friends with strangers now? So yeah... Bungie being Bungie.
