What would you think of making the infinite forest an fully explorable area to access old d1 content?
A huge labyrinth that unlocks old raids, strikes and prison of elder encounters ONLY if we find and unlock them.
Just think about not knowing anything about where you're going or what you'll find and then, bam! you're in the crota raid, or bam! you're in the undying mind strike/nightfall.
This would make the infinite forest relevant again, AND it would be a way of inserting reprised content for all players, veterans and newbies.
In some way it would complete the whole destiny experience imo, and it would be an awesome way of bringing back reprised content in a meaningful way.
Obviously modifiers would be needed for the activities in general and maybe a few surprises and secrets here and there, but it would really be a great way of integrating all the destiny universe together.
New things could be added over time, I'm not saying that all d1 should be put there in one go, but all should be done saying and revealing absolutely nothing to the whole destiny community.
Let us go back to exploring destiny like we did in d1 !

The infinite forest should be a new patrol zone. Randomly generated, with public events and patrols. Adding this to the curse of osiris would have made it ten times better than it was.

2 RepliesThe infinite forest is just horrible, let's lean away from horde modes for now.

1 Replywhat activities / raids were there on d1 on mercury?

We brought this up before, and nothing happened. I commend the wishful thinking tho

18 RepliesAn excuse for bungie to recycle all of the old content from d1 and sell it back to us? How about no.

1 ReplyThis was something that the community asked for when COO dropped. Since it hasn’t happened by now it never will. Personally I believe it is a lost opportunity for Bungie to better utilize the infinite forest. But there also may be both a compatibility issue between D1 and D2 and a storage issue if you added that content to D2.

1 ReplyOr they could not waste time developing that and bring us something new? D1 still exists, if you want to experience old content, just play it.
