I mean truly, what the heck does that mean? You can put cooldowns for grenades and whatnot but you can't tell me what does "Greatly Increase" mean? Can't you tell me how much Rampage bonus is? Doesn't matter if you have to put values for both PvP and PvE, just tell me.
And not to mention what does the bars in weapons mean? You certainly can't compare Pulse to Hand Cannon by those graphs. What does impact on a Pulse mean, per shot, per burst?
And before you diss on me saying there are 3rd party resources for that, tell me why I should do that in the first place? Why do I have to go to outside sources to read lore in D1, why do I have to go out of my way to understand how much is Rampage when you could have easily put those stats there in the first place, much like Division.
If your design philosophy is that you want players to 'feel' their gun, so be it, then just make an option in the settings to change description types. Easy as that!

By now you should know that greatly increase from bungie means 0.005% from 0.03%.
-
Should just be an information kiosk near vendors for a detailed explanation of what does what.
-
1 ReplyMaybe have this be a toggleable thing? I imagine their thought process is that they think all sorts of stat numbers may overwhelm certain players.

3 RepliesEdited by UK Mojo: 1/3/2020 12:32:45 PMDestiny item Manger, now Bungie (look if 3rd party Apps can do this why can't your development team do this is 2020!) should take a note from there book and create a stat page on each weapon, Destiny has an RPG element give the dorks something to stew on Give two game options simple mode for the simple play style who just want to click n shoot and i don't care mode. Dork mode heavy stat page on what the items are doing what buffs/ Debuffs are applied, Percentile, Damage values etc Recoil direction Fall off stats Detailed Damage values on weapons More comprehensive stat values on items Don't be a online weirdo and get offended over been called a dork, damn its a Nerd screen, if you have played games in the past with MMORPG elements you will appreciate it, like i have done :P

1 ReplyNot to mention hidden stats. Why are they hidden? Like OP stated I can find this info out but I have to leave the game. It would be much more convenient to compare weapons if all info was available in the weapon description menu.

Edited by mdknyte: 1/3/2020 12:20:30 PMGreatly increase descriptions, period. On triumphs, either some don't work or the directions aren't clear. A bunch of people are stuck on the Eris triumph at 10/11. All it says is "visit Eris every week." We did, and did the 4 boring moon weeklies that don't even rotate. And it won't give the 11th to most, but some people did. Do we know why? No, because directions or bug. Even the the directions for the Gambit triumph said to get to reach Fabled but it turns out it's really Mythic. Ok... wtf?! How does no one notice that before rolling it out?! Can you guys get a dedicated description writer that knows wtf they're doing?! You guys have the worst description writers in all of gaming.

This has always bugged me. Like the percentages instead of straight up numbers for quests and bounties. Just tell us what is what so we can actually manage our stats instead of playing this stupid guessing game.
-
100% agree. If they are truly leaning into stats then they should start displaying them on perks.
-
1 Reply...and it's not like the idea of having vague stats to let players get a feel for the bonuses even works anymore, since anyone who cares will likely just find the actual values via third-party sources.
-
The same reasoning behind using percentages for progressions. With a %, they can skew the total up or down in the background. The player would never know. However, if it said 300 kills, and then down the road it was 350 or 250, they'd have to answer those uncomfortable questions, wouldn't they. The more vague something is, the more inherent wiggle room, the developers get without having to explain themselves.

1 ReplyThe Bungie app doesn't even tell you recoil direction nor aim assist stats. Shows how unreliable Bungie's own app is.
-
1 ReplyI want to see numbers and percentages for buffs as well in subclasses
-
Considering the playerbase are glorified beta-testers for Bungie, it would be helpful to know exactly how stats and such in the game are supposed to work (as opposed to having to look them up on third party sites), so that we can tell if something is working the way it's supposed to be or not.

2 RepliesThis is one of the biggest issues I have with Destiny right now: The complete lack of information given to the player by Bungie. Saying one this is slightly faster, and the other is greatly faster, gives me absolutely no reference whatsoever as to how much of an improvement one is over the other. This needs to be fixed immediately, but considering how vague Bungie likes to be with... literally anything, I don't see this cryptic way of thinking anytime soon. How much of a difference is there in damage between Kill Clip vs. Rampage 1/2/3? Is there a difference? What about Reload speed? What's our frame of reference for Range? Are we using meters? Feet? How much health does a Guardian have? What does the Attack and Armor rating for Weapons/Armor mean? Is that damage or is it just an arbitrary number to gatekeep players out of content? I could go on and on because this is an absolute mess.

3 RepliesEdited by Monarxue: 1/3/2020 6:32:31 PMWTF does freehand grip actually do & why is there a difference with sprint grip? Simple questions to grossly over simplified explanations.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Dame Johanna: 1/3/2020 7:23:39 PMYou know, i've a hunter full mobility. He's outspeeded by everything who sprint ^^ So, not sure stats need a better description if they are not working correctly.

3 RepliesPeople have been asking for this since D1. A lot. I've come to the conclusion they like it this way. YouTubers make videos breaking down everything getting millions of views combined thus free advertising for bungie. YouTubers make decent money off it so they love it. It's stupid.

Guns still got extra stats that aren’t shown
-
My take on this, because I also have a similar question..... 20 points to the negative or 20 points to the positive used to be the standard for damage differential. The static number set was dependant on your light level. You could do a raid 20 point lower than the "required" light and still have access. Now with the newer linear curve we are supposed to be engaged in activities with friends of lower light levels up to 100 and still have the same experience? Am I right or not? Asking you guys. Cause it seems to me having a meter provides a huge grey area over a number. Unless your willing to jump on a 3rd party site to view hard numbers ( which if someone else can do, so can bungie ), it's really easy to slide adjust any buff or nerf without a number to back it up. That's why some of this gear ends up broken. Slide adjust and then the numbers don't add up. My two cents worth
-
2 RepliesI believe Rampage pre nerf went to 67% damage buff at its max. Not sure what it is now but it’s equal to D1’s Crowd Control (same perk different name).
-
1 ReplyThat was my first complaint with this game 5 years ago. It isn't changing.

The UI should have numbers written down . Perhaps a tab with a stat sheet? The only three known ways are Calculating dmg yourself Watch aztecross Read the twabs

2 RepliesIf you hover over your discipline, it will show you the time it takes for you to get your grenade.
