Could the guardian create a throne world like the Mindbender had done
could the guardian become a god in the eyes of the Hive
would the light abandon said guardian?
would said guardian end up like Eris Morn, ghostless and a odd eye deformity from a ahamkara wish bone

3 RepliesWe use the sword logic all the time. The sword logic is simply growing stronger by defeating tougher and tougher enemies. We could have taken Oryx’s place when we killed him in his throne world. And we should’ve. Maybe Savathûn and the Darkness wouldn’t be as much as a threat as they are now

There is D1 lore were toland talks about how mad he was that we didn't take the throne after killing oryx. Also if memory serves right, the 3 exotic swords we created in taken king were forged out of sword logic. Whisper and touch of malice work on sword logic too.

2 RepliesWe very easily could create a throne world, given that we used literal sword logic on Crota and figurative sword logic on Oryx. In-lore, Eris was actually mad with us for not taking Crota's throne world for our own. Oryx's throne world is already in real space in the form of the Dreadnought, and rather than take that he gave us his strength in the form of the gun, Touch of Malice. Light would not abandon us as long as we did not abandon it ourselves. Hell, look at Drifter. The Light stays with him, even as he turns his back to it. Realistically, it definitely would have been to our benefit to take Crota's throne world, but equally realistically, we don't need it. The purpose of a throne world is to act as a sort of phylactery. You die outside, you resurrect inside. You die inside, you die for good. How would our Light behave within this space? How would it behave without it? If you die inside can your Ghost revive you? If you die outside do you get drawn inside? If you do, does your Ghost come with you? Hard to say, but it would likely be a risk not worth testing.

1 Replyodds are we already have a throne world, just no proof or entry to it. i mean, crota and oryx's throne worlds were pretty damn impressive, and we axed them, so technically speaking we should inherit or replicate both. maybe, if we were to die in canon without our ghost to bring us back, that's where we would go.

14 RepliesWhy does everyone seem to think that the 'sword logic' is somehow a source of power? It's just a philosophy: a way of thinking about relative power to other beings
-
Crazy idea but what if we killed, let’s say, a raid boss and got pinnacle sword logic that made our light stronger. Or what if a kinder guardian killed a bunch of things and gained sword experience to get stronger

7 RepliesApparently Eris has seen a throne world made for the Light using the sword logic. Unfinal Shapes ship lore tab:
Asher, I took a slough of Hive chitin, and with my own hands, I bent it into the shape of a starship. I think you of all people might understand why. But it's more than just a reminder of the green flames behind my brow. Asher, I saw a throne world built for the Light. Built with Darkness, of course, and the bitter logic of swords. But built for Light. It made me wonder. This will be my last letter for a long while. The Queen needs me more than the City does. And I need her. When she looks at me, she does not see an invalid, or a madwoman, or a burden. She sees a Hunter. She has pointed me at the true enemy, and with her help, I will see my quarry caught. Clarity in action, Eris Morn
Based on dialogue from the subclass mission it sounds like we would lose our light.

We did use the sword logic when we defeated Crota.
-
We do use Sword Logic. All the time. Are we not killing enemies and growing powerful from it? Is not our civilization clashing with others to see who survives? Yes. So we do use the Sword Logic.

Both ways seem to be a way of forging a champion for both sides.

1 ReplyI know it's not in the lore, but we kinda have been using the Sword Logic. Sword Logic is all about testing might against might, and the one who wins becomes stronger, right? Isn't that what we've been doing since Destiny started? We go out, we fight enemies, we defeat enemies, and we gain XP to level up. We gain strength by defeating enemies which is essentially what defines the Sword Logic.
-
I already use sword logic everyday. I enjoy comparing swords.

Technically we already are. Our Guardians continually become stronger as we defeat stronger and stronger enemies, and we've been learning new abilities and become more knowledgeable of the ways of both light and darkness as we've slain our enemies. We wouldn't have been able to kill Oryx without killing Crota first since we needed his essence to preform some paracausal B&E. At this point, I would like to imagine that we have the power to create our own throne world, but how you actually make one is kinda vague. We've never physically seen someone or something actually make a throne world, so we don't know if the process is the same for everyone nor the actual amount of power necessary. However, most Guardians don't follow Sword Logic as maliciously and religiously as the Hive, so we'd probably never be seen as a god to them.

1 ReplyHe would become a space marine.

17 RepliesNo guardians can and do use the sword Logic, the light doesn’t abandon them however their ghost probably will, in addition the sword logic is not as easy to use without a worm, so it’s in a much diluted form, example dredgen yor
