Playing offline on PS4 but showing online for friends/clan roster
Sometimes you just want to blow stuff up solo. When I'm open to chat/invites I'll show online. I like my friends and clan but at times I just don't want to be in a chat.
The other day, I'm playing offline and a guy in my clan sends me a chat. Nice of him to include me, for sure. I asked him if I was showing online and he said yes. Even sent me a screenshot.
Please fix this. It's kind of a privacy issue. Isn't it?

2 Repliesnot in any way a privacy issue, thats silly. The "online" designation system for console doesn't apply to the games you play.

5 RepliesHave you tried clearing your cache to see if it's an issue that can be resolved by that? I di this all the time and have never had a problem with showing online to people. I can even invite to chats or games and it just says a private user invited my friends and I don't show in game.

There's no requirement of any online game to pay attention to PSN's "appear offline" option. It's hardly a privacy issue.
