Not one to complain about things however, it seems to me as a more often than not solo player, it's near imposible to hit the level cap. I'm 972 what I believe to be a well built titan. Seems like the only options that is phesable as a solo player is the 100k NF and more often than not its always just out of reach. Would be grate to see far more matchmaking for powerful rewards. I understand raid matchmaking is a nightmare but when you have no other choice what else can you do. Throw your suggestions in would love to hear them and please bungie just a simple reply would be apreceate to shed some light on this issue.

3 RepliesAll of these crud answer are the reason the forums are a waste of time. A player comes on with a question, one that has been a problem since day 1 of destiny. And instead of good answer and good sports you give them toxic pernicious answers. Maybe there should be gear for solos that hit end game type numbers i dont know maybe 200,000 head shots, or what ever. End game is just something you practice and become good at. Folks act like their some how special because they have 5 friends who suffer from video game addiction like they do. Being a solo player and completing things take the same practice etc to become good at it. It takes time and dedication that should be rewarded just the same.

Why do you need to be max level? How can you complain about playing solo on an entirely online game built around having a fire team, there’s plenty of good lfg sites, use one.
-
Pinnacle levels are for show more than anything, just because of the existence of the artifact level boost. If you’re in the high 950s or you’re a 960, you’re fine. You’ll live without the few bits of Pinnacle gear.
-
Why do you need to be the “max” level? All the content where you need to be at the max is fireteam based and there’s no matchmaking. You can technically grind out unlimited amount of extra power levels through the artifact anyway

Edited by Swiftlock: 1/4/2020 8:36:34 PMSolo players don't need pinnacle gear. The only endgame content where you need high LL's also require fireteams, save for Iron Banner, and even there it's not that big of a deal thanks to artifact levels. It's a non-issue.

1 ReplyIts easy to find a Fireteam for pinnacle activities. With that being said if youre not doing endgame activity anyways what the point in hitting max level.
-
The only activities that require max level are for teams.
-
1 ReplyMan. If only there was a way outside the game to matchmake with other guardians. Maybe they could even put it in this app! Maybe someday.....
-
Called lfg sites or on xbox thru the system lfg or even companion app not hard to find a grp
-
Use the app to find a fireteam. You can send and receive in game invites from the app.
-
Go solo the dungeon. Free Pinnacle armor. Easy peasy.

Edited by Vysi: 1/3/2020 5:09:16 AMConsidering infinite artifact levels, there really isn’t a level cap anymore so I’m not sure what the complaint is? That’s the solo player option to level up. IMO, the point of getting higher is to do the endgame activities. Endgame activities should be difficult and dumb them down to matchmaking enabled difficulty would make them pointless/not endgame anymore. This franchise was never made to be played solo. It was advertised best with friends from the start. In fact, it’s way more solo-friendly now than it used to be.

Edited by deltorakid2: 1/3/2020 7:25:47 AMIron banner, nightfall, nightmare hunts, PoH, GoS. All accessible by solo players.

If ur playing solo and don’t do the raid or any other high level activity then why do u even need the higher level gear. ? Just lvl up ur artifact and be fine with it. In all honesty there’s no real reason to be 980+ anyway, even for the raid or high level stuff. Ur base level at 960 is fine for anything if ur dedicated to playing solo anyway
-
I’m a solo player. I did iron banner solo for the little pinnacle gear that it rewarded and when I really feel like raiding then I create a post on lfg. Other than that, I’ve leveled up my artifact by simply playing the game. Strikes, pvp, sundial. I’m at 974 by just doing that. It’ll be reset in a couple months anyway.

I think you mean Pinnacle gear, Powerful gear is easily obtainable
-
Last season I ran for pinnacle gear and in the end (beginning of this season) all it mattered is I saved 'MAYBE' upwards of an hour of slllooowwwww play to get back to that level this season. Even if I had made it all the way up to 960 it would not have mattered as I naturally made it to 960 on each char way before I finished the quests and weeklies. TO get them easily just run IB (whines the guy who never stepped foot in it. and I love IB, this season based on all the screaming about the RL heavy BS.) So this season if I get them, yay, if not it's just a days play on each char and I'm there anyways.

I play solo. My guardians can all hit 979 just now. I’m pretty much just playing for XP and bright dust these days. -
Pit of Heresy is soloable and drops a Pinnacle Gear drop at the end. Iron Banner is playable as a solo player. You have to get really lucky on certain strikes, but 100K is achievable in the 920 Ordeal. The only Pinnacle Gear drops that you cannot get without a fireteam are the ones in the Garden of Salvation raid. ----------------------------------------------------------------- All this being said, the Pinnacle Gear grind is pointless in my eyes. It makes absolutely zero difference in ~95% of the game. And the whole grind is undone after the season ends when the Power cap is raised. Some might be able to flex their higher Power level in Iron Banner once a month, but I don't think PvE enemies will ever be like, "Oh man! This Guardian is 980+ Power. Let's get the hell outta here!"
-
Really what’s the point of even bothering lol. You don’t need pinnacle gear to do bounties and that’s pretty much what the game has turned into.
-
It’s accessible, it’s just annoying AF to LFG or run PvP. It would be nice if there were one or two pinnacle options that DIDN’T require either of those.
-
You don't need to be max light to enjoy the game. Powerful gear should be pretty easy for anyone to get, strikes, flashpoint, Gambit, crucible all drop powerful engrams. Pinnacle engrams are the tougher ones. If you refuse to play with others, I guess you can't do the fireteam based pinnacle activities. There's iron banner, it can drop pinnacles.
-
Things were fine with things like prime engrams until bungie made the recent changes which restricts power levels just in the same way with everything else ... so bungie hasn’t changed it’s tune when it comes to solo players .. they still hate us and until there is a change in the high up I don’t think anything will change
-
No point in going for pinnacle. The light level is getting increased every season and the artifact makes up for just hitting the soft cap

3 RepliesAre you talking about Powerful rewards or Pinnacle rewards? Powerful rewards are quite plentiful and easy to come by, usually just doing an activity a certain number of times, but Pinnacle rewards are intended to be a chase for only the most dedicated, and coordinated, groups of players.
