Trading in Destiny 2.

Through the times that people have been playing Destiny 2, I always thought there would be an idea of trading with one person. The thought of trading would help friends earn a special roll on a weapon, which increases the chances of more teamwork in competitive and PVE gameplay. How I envisioned it to work is one friend or clanmate trades with another, not a random player. Exotic items, master worked items and locked items can't be traded the traders are different levels, the weapon is being traded equals the light level of the receiver WITHOUT the artifact leveling bonus. Example: 923-player (trader) is trading with a 786-player (receiver), the weapon would equal the 786 light level. This can only take place in the Farm and the Tower to trade, accessing the vaults having 2 options to pick from when in the vault: "Accessing Vault" and "Trading". Both traders must be in their vault to trade in the same location (Farm or Tower). In order for the trade to be completed, they both need to press accept on an in-game pop up within 30 seconds. Otherwise, the trade is canceled and back to the item selection page of trading. What do you think about this? Should Bungie add this into the game?

  • Nah, it kills the grind of the game. If people just get what they want with no effort, it's not fun. It's the same reason why they got rid of rerolls and fixed rolls.

    • In theory, yes, it could happen because Borderlands has this. Here is the problem I see happening just off the top of my head. The guns that people are going to want are the pinnacle and reward-type guns from raids, etc. If you are the 923 player and I want gun X and I am 786, what are you going to want for that gun? Are you going to give up your Mountaintop or highly-rolled whatever, then go out and do that quest all over again if that is even possible? Now, you start bringing in the ability to pay for guns. Then, what if I pay you and you log out and I don't get those guns? Who is at fault now?
