Of every single activity in this game, none have had worse experiences of frame rates dropping than Gambit. You could argue the final encounter of Garden of Salvation, but that’s only one instance of the activity, not the entire f***ing duration of the activity!
The worse part is it’s only gotten worse with Season of Dawn! Please Bungie, for the love of god and all that is good, please fix the frame rate problems in Gambit!
And before anyone starts the bad connection excuse, I kindly ask you to not even mention it. My connections are fine. Literally just got brand new equipment a month ago and everything else has been working fine. It’s only when I get into Gambit that there is constantly a frame rate problem.
110% Bump Bumpity ^^^^^^^^^^ (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

Yep another activity I don’t play anymore , used love playing gambit but what’s the point ! Once you have all the weapons that’s pretty much it. Big shame 👎

1 ReplyHey man you cant talk about framerate and load time problems here. All the closed minded elitists come out and blame your hardware even though they are issues that bungie can and have fixed before. Just letting you know, though you probably have already experienced it as I'm a bit late to this post.
-
5 RepliesMaybe dont run a shitty 2014 ps4 and get a pro, its 2020 dude.
-
I’ve played some gambit and honestly haven’t experienced any frame drops
-
1 ReplyFramerate has nothing to do with connection speed, if anyone says it does, they dont know much about PCs. Also, how is bungie supposed to fix your slow computer? I literally have never had an issue in gambit or any other area in regards to frame rate.
-
Sundial is worse.
-
7 RepliesHate when my frames go from 201 to 195
-
It helps the developers if you state what platform you are on just saying.
-
1 Replywhere you running anything in the background? i dont have a beefy rig by any means on average i run 80fps at max settings, the only times i find my frames dropping is when im running some apps in the background. (youtube for my music playlist and spotify are the biggest offenders in my case).
-
Experienced it regularly when playing gambit. Fairly often I would say.
-
2 RepliesWell tbh, I never experienced any FPS drops, my rig is not the newest, have i5 8600K, 16GB RAM, NVMe SSD, and R9 295 Triple X Graphics, as you can see nothing fancy, and it plays well. Don't understand people saying this is not working, then going on forums and asking to do what exactly? Redesign all graphics? Nerf it for all others, so that they'r brought on the same level? Do we live in kommunist state now? Get it in to your heads lads, if it's not working well, first benchmark your own rig, get results, find bottleneck (usually it's still that overgrown 2TB HDD you have since you bought pc, that never was optimised, cleaned, and it has 3GB left on it) Then come back, and ask for better optimisation.

Time to upgrade your first Gen console.
-
8 RepliesYour playing on console. What you’re seeing is called “bottlenecking”. It’s what happens when a program puts more demands on a computer than its processors can handle. So execution of the program (game) slows down (like a traffic jam) and you notice it. You are seeing it in Gambit because that game mode puts a massive stress of the consoles processor. Gambit has tons of objects moving around in screen that need to be animated. Your machine has to network with 7 other machines in the lobby. Make sure that you see the same events on screen as the three others on your fireteam, as well as calculating all of this fast enough to maintain the frame rate.... ..., and these consoles can’t do it. So you see the frame rate drop when the machine can’t keep up. It why Bungie is saying that this game can’t just keep growing forever. It’s already hitting up against the limits of what current gen consoles can handle.

6 Replieswelcome to p2p connections, where Bungo thinks everyone regardless of speed, ping, and packet loss should play.
-
1 ReplyTry changing armor mods in the Sundial.
-
4 RepliesThe only thing that gets fixed rapidly is nerfs to weapons or classes.
-
I know right ? Enemies blinking all over the place , can’t pick up motes etc 🤣
-
Sun Dial is the worst. I bet the average on PS4 during an entire run is 20 FPS or less.
-
9 RepliesYou can stop at Gambit being horrible, but that's just me.
-
3 RepliesPlayed enough gambit to get Python already and tbh didn't see any frame rate drop along the way, I can imagine that's super frustrating, though. Seen plenty of it in the raid, though, lol.
-
Never had a problem with it until the graphical updates around the beginning of season 8. Now we have shinier light orbs, ammo packs, and glimmer globs everywhere with the more detailed environments. You mix a full horde blasting away with a couple of super activations and an invader. Then, nothing seems to move for a beat.
-
The first few weeks of alter of sorrow was crazy... supers dropping orbs everywhere, ammo bricks everywhere, enemies everywhere; my ps was limping pretty badly, certainly the worst I've seen!!
-
Kells grave. With my original xbox1x I lagged like fooking crazy on that map.
-
Another technical problem with the game, what a surprise. On a plus note, Eververse is extremely fast and responsive.

Not as bad as sundial
