I’ve been looking at the Tower from D1 (and oh man is it nostalgic) and found where the Hangar is. If you look at a pic of the D1 Tower you can see it has a balcony-like structure on top of the main structure. On one side is thicker and has about to large oblong windows which you can also see from inside the Hangar. There is absolutely nothing underneath the Hangar, and yet your ship lands inside and then gets swallowed up by the floor. With how many Guardians the Tower houses you’d think it would have plenty of places for our ships to park, but it seems there is no where for our ship let alone a few hundred other ships to go.
In D2, our ships just seem to aimlessly travel on their own, and imo that just makes them open to enemies. Do they ever go anywhere...?

They stay in Destiny 1 because Eververse can’t re sell them as slot machine loot yet.

5 RepliesWell there isn't really any definitive lore on this but here's my general theory Our ships have some kinda AI attached to them that allows it to fly and manoeuvre itself without a pilot. Most of the time it looks like our ship drops us off at our location then returns to orbit so we can instantly teleport back to safety However there is a ship dock in the hanger of D2, you can summon it to fly down and dock by pressing a panel
