XP throttling again??
Final edit and conclusion;
Thank to all who responded constructively, I have taken all suggestions on board, i am doing as much as possible but seem to be ranking slower than others for some reason, could be a bug but whatever I will still reach rank 100 before season end. love to all xoxo
What's going on with the season rank ups, I'm playing way more this season, doing way more bounties, wearing a ghost with +10% xp on all activities.
Last season I was ranking up much faster by doing less activities!
Edit: Here's some of my stats for this season.
* Eva bounties done for dawning triumph, over 50
* 740 recipes baked (this includes last dawning event i think but i've done over 300 this season easily just for her weekly bounties)
* All obelisks rank 11 or higher, one is rank 18(all weekly bounties done on 3 characters weekly)
* All of Saint 14's bounties done daily for triumph, over 30
* All Iron Banner bounties done along with Shaxx bounties (on 3 characters)
* 100k nightfall x 3 plus farmed 920's for materials for hours
* Pit of Heresy x 3 every week
* Master nightmare hunt x 3 every week
* Farmed sundial for many hours
Still sitting at rank 68.
EDIT #2 I should also add, I have completed 2 of 3 season weapon bounties as well. Python, Buzzard and just need Glory for Komodo now.

If you want to go faster, then drop everything else and do what it takes (AFK forge probably) to do Eva bounties and you could easily be over level 100 in 3 or 4 days. Maybe less than that. I've gone up over 90 levels since the Dawning started The trouble you are having is that you are trying to play like you want to play. That is fun, but the game isn't set up to reward that in terms of XP. Drop all the strikes, PVP, Gambit, Nightmare hunts etc. and bake then deliver cookies. That is what they want you to do. I'm at 153, but I've wasted a ton of time baking and delivering cookies. I have the ritual weapons, am 960 or higher base level on all three characters, but most of the XP has been from Eva. It is dumb, but it is how the game is set up right now.

5 RepliesI don’t do half of what you are doing and I am rank 118. 3 pits and 3 master nightmare hunts gave me 600k in XP this morning then doing most of the weekly bounties on 1 character gave me another 500k in XP. Starting the weekly bounties on my 2nd character now and get another 500k in 3 hours.

Something is off with what youre doing. Im at 108 now and havent done half your stuff. I just do saint xiv/eva/gunsmith along with w/e planet I was doing them on all three. I started the season at rank 18 though as I had over 100 bounties saved. I have all obelisks maxed and did all obelisk weeklies up until before christmas.

2 RepliesEdited by FateTDF: 12/31/2019 8:49:44 PMGrab all the bounties from Zavala, Banshee, Saint 14 and The cookie lady everyday. Then solo load into Lake of Shadow and complete the bounties. Load into a quick Sundial for shared wisdom and profit. I do that every night real quick after work, and I am level 112 on the season pass. Hope this helps.

It’s ALOT faster to level this season, Maybe it’s because of the Eva bounties by I got to rank 100 only like three weeks before the last season ended compared to 67 already currently

I'm at wrank 40. All I do is farm forge weapons and perfect paradox with 3 scourge of the past every week. Maybe 4 hours every couple days. Chill. There's like 70 days left.

Edited by NVMYGT: 1/1/2020 3:34:34 AMI felt this way at first, but once you hit the 32% XP boost cap on the pass, level ups are fast. Do the cookie bounties. The 50 cookie bounty alone grants 50k but each individual cookie bounty gives 12k XP so its another 600k xp along the way

Bounties are the only way to " xp fast " now. ( And yes, it's a shame, activities need better rewards) I'm rank 223 and i'm at +21 on the artifact.

Seems normal to me, but then again I didn't pay much attention to my precise XP gains last season.

Most that stuff you’re doing isn’t the best to earn XP you gotta grab all available bounties from the tower Gunsmith, Zavala, Shaxx, Eva, Obelisk, Saint, and so on then Eris, and all available planetary bounties. Then you want to all weekly powerful rewards. It’s all about the bounties this season Gets a bit annoying just grinding bounties I know I’m burnt out as it feels like all I ever do in the game right now.

1 ReplyDunno what to say, I’ve done less than 1/3 of activities of you and am at 104. But then I work on like 20 bounties at a time on patrol on the moon. Easy 5 levels on the pass to start each day.

1 ReplyI dunno how that is even possible? I've played a fraction of that. Haven't done master nightmare hunts, any 100k nightfalls, only 1 obelisk at 11, and don't even grind bounties and I'm at 54. I have used shared wisdom with clan mates, so I dunno. Only thing I can say is something does sound fishy there. That's a lot of grinding to only be where your at. I have a clan mate way over 100 already and he's been grinding similar to you. How can you find out if there's legit throttling?

Not sure what's happening with you, but I've been farming Eva's "random bounties" which is to just bake and deliver a random cookie. You get about 11,000xp for each bounty. Every ten cookies I've gained a level. I've gone up six ranks baking 50 cookies.

I think one way they throttled the xp this time is every rank you level up, it takes more xp to rank up again, just like with the artifact. Or, all the XP stat bonuses are bases upon your first 5 levels, everything after that doesn't matter, because it's all turned off! Why? MONEY GRAB! It also seems to me Bungie's been hiding the numbers in xp and they Definitely are hiding the power level status bar (You know, the bar that shows you what your power level is up to until you power up by 1, but now that's not there anymore, why?).

Nothing changed on the season ranks. Bounties give same ammount xp. The artifact changed though, it takes more xp now to get the power level up.

Did you complain that they “secretly” made the cost of masterwork cores go up with every purchase when buying them from spider? Did you also complain that you didn’t know the annual pass was a drip feed style of content when they literally advertised it as such? That’s why you go to school, to learn to read.

Haven't even touched the dawning stuff and I'm at 88, and I play 85% crucible most of the time.
