Can I get a representative to check this out and let me know the reason and if this is an actual permanent ban?
I was afk in the Forge for about 5 hours to get Dawning materials.
Thanks.

AFK forge farming will not get you banned. Using stuff like certain macros or afk bots will though.
-
Nope it’s what you did in the survival playlist that got you banned. Win trade lobbies are against the rules.

Your only solution is to buy a new account or hope Bungie reverses the ban.

Doing something once / 1 time does not lead to a restriction or ban unless you are using code injecting software or cheating in some way. Connection based restrictions or bans you are given a warning about your connection first before any restriction or ban is places. Bungie investigates accounts before they hand out any restrictions or bans. After investigating your account, they found a reason. They will not remove this restriction/ban. On the occasions they do respond, the answer will give a date and a very brief reason which will be one of the following below. 1. Cheating 2. Any software being detected by Destiny while it's running. These could include Trainers, Aimbots, Auto-fire, Mods, Graphics Hacks, Network Accelerators anything that injects code into games. This includes any cheats etc that you use for other games DESTINY 2 PC AND THIRD-PARTY APPLICATION FEATURE COMPATIBILITY Also see Steam Service Agreement section 4. ONLINE CONDUCT, CHEATING, AND ILLEGAL BEHAVIOR 3. An unstable connection is having an impact on other players. RESTRICTIONS AND BANNING POLICIES You agreed to the license agreement. I am not a Bungie Representative.

Just gonna make a few quotes for posterity.
Kota So afking Forges can get you perma-banned now? View image at your own riskTerms of Use Can I get a representative to check this out and let me know the reason and if this is an actual permanent ban? I was afk in the Forge for about 5 hours to get Dawning materials. Thanks.

Kota @karatekid2501 That was Glory boosting. Also back in October. How is that my fault for a ban?
Not only were you win trading in the past, but you were very clearly involved in some sort of network manipulation as recently as your last 5 IB matches, as it is extremely improbable that you went up against the same team, at minimum, 5 times in a row.
-
So you admit to AFKing in the game (which by the way, it's supposed to kick you out of matches if you're AFK for 15 minutes, so you obviously used something to circumvent that), and you have CONSISTENT boosting history in your PvP game history. You don't need a representative of Bungie to tell you what you did wrong dude. So let's stop being coy and get to the point. Why did you feel it necessary to cheat your way in Competitive gameplay? Why do you feel it necessary to not play the game? And why do you think they are obligated to tell you what you already know? Please stop with this nonsense. It makes you guys look really bad.
-
You spent Multiple hours in multiple days afking a forge. On 10/26 you had MULTIPLE games over in under a min (suspicious as flock) What happened is they built their case by looking at your full history and found out a cheat. You deserve your ban.
-
You said you were boosting glory in October. Sometimes it takes Bungie a moment to build a case against you before dropping the ban hammer. Sorry that you felt the need to cheat. Maybe next time try to earn stuff the old fashioned way, with hard work.
-
3 Replies99.99% you had cheat software, debugger, IDE etc. While we wait for Bungie SRT... 🍿 I got popcorn! Butter or caramel?
-
6 RepliesYou probably didn’t get banned for AFK farming, even though it’s against the rules, your PvP history on your Warlock shows that you have been cheating. Ban was well deserved. How sad do you have to be to cheat in PvP and AFK?

5 RepliesI'm pretty sure you can get banned for AFKing forges, but in your case i'd be quicker to look at your warlock's comp history on 10/28, as that record and the few games i inspected look suspect AF.
