Shit move Bungie.. you just turn something everyone loved into something everyone despises!

2 RepliesJokes on you. Leaked images show next season requires heavy sidearm kills.

Edited by InconceivabIe-_-: 12/29/2019 5:33:17 PMIrritable Banner Syndrome Quest design that clearly does NOT rock. More like sucks and was an oversight. Too bad they likely will not fix it.

Damn straight!! As soon as I seen “get 10 rocket kills” in iron banner I thought “get the fûck outta here with that bullshit” fûck Iron Banner! 🐶💩
-
The rocket launcher quest is an absolute sh|t show. #removetherocketlauncherkillsstep

I haven’t even played iron banner at all this season. I agree that there should not be any steps that require heavy weapon kills but I don’t think all quests in the game should be like that. For example if a strike rocket launcher ritual weapon comes out then I would understand getting rocket launcher kills in strikes. There should not be heavy kills in any pvp quests any other quests that require heavy kills in strikes, gambit, patrol, etc should be ok.

This step is agonizing. It’s RNG, too- the kind of teammates and opponents you get, namely. You’re screwed if not enough teammates focus on Heavy Ammo, or if too many enemies focus on Heavy Ammo (ex. camping Supers). It’s not fun. It’s not quick. It’s slow, methodical torture of constantly playing aggravating game after aggravating game in a desperate attempt to get 10 kills. And if you miss, or die before you get a shot? You’re screwed. Wait another 2 minutes for a *chance* of it happening again. Power Weapon PvP objectives should be for hard stuff, maybe an Exotic with another progression that can also do them. Komodo’s a good example- you can earn it with Arbalest, an alternative to relying on Heavy Ammo. Never. Ever. Make an objective rely solely on PvP Heavy Weapons. And especially, ESPECIALLY do not lock it to a specific game mode- at least leave Mayhem as an option so it’s a little less painful. If anything, this makes me crave a Special Rocket Launcher- then I might have a chance of getting the 10 kills I need to get any loot from the Iron Banner this Season. ...What does it say when anger can fuel two whole paragraphs with no effort put in whatsoever. That alone speaks to the utter rage that this objective has boiled within me. Quests shouldn’t do that Bungie, take notes.

3 RepliesEdited by Hot Tasty Grits: 12/30/2019 1:19:04 AMI will say it . This is the dumbest shit ever . I hope a quest designer takes offense when I say you have to be simply stupid if you didn’t anticipate the toxicity this step would cause. You’re simply short sighted .

5 RepliesJust came here to say this. Usually I'm down for the IB quest, as awful as some of the steps are, but forget this particular season. Waiting around forever every match rather than playing IB is terrible - and that is exactly what I'm doing, since the quest actively discourages attempting to play/win IB, since the longer the game goes the more Power Ammo chances I have. If one team is crushing and has the quest they're actually super incentivized to NOT play the mode and just farm, since Winning is directly at odds with Finishing The Quest Step. Please stop putting Power Ammo with 1 Mag Size as a quest step, especially when it's only completeable in a map where Power Ammo spawns one shot every 97 years. It's miserable, it's a chore, and it takes me away from *actually playing the game mode*. Just let me frag, guys. Don't make it a job. As is, probably just off IB until next Season, which means probably just off Destiny since Crucible's all I really do. See you guys in three months, gonna go spend time and money somewhere else.

12 RepliesThis is the first time I have rage quite any game. Ever. And it's that -blam!-ing shit-show of a quest. The "best" rocket launcher I have is the Two Tailed Fox. Two "tracking" rockets that, so far, have netted me one kill. One. In five games. How are those "tracking"?
-
It's a joke 6 games 4 kills
-
2 RepliesWhere was your outrage the last 2 banners they are literally on a cycle It was swords first The gl Now rockets And surprise next season it will be linears
-
1 ReplyBruh you guys complained about the season 8 iron banner quest steps too when they were cake. You guys just don't wanna blame yourselves.
-
As a player that doesn't really go out of my way to grab heavy unless it's comp, I agree. I don't like being forced to play a certain way. Same goes for making us use a certain weapon type, but I still got everything done pretty quick was able to resume my normal play style and weapons.
-
Honestly not a fan of the whole "finish the quest steps before you can turn in coins" thing. Not because of the difficulty, but more because of the fact thatit seems like the gear is leveled off off when you start it. For instance, I started the quest at 958. By the time the final quest step was done, my light level was 964, yet all the gear I've gotten from IB coins has been 959 at the highest.

1 ReplyAgreed. Why promote camping the heavy ammo spawns period. Don't make any single weapon type and objective. Make it "primary" or "special" kills. Don't limit it to scouts, hand cannons, etc.. Some people like certain weapons and that's what they stick to. Quit forcing the player base to play with shit they don't want to use.

Deathbringer gets this step done in fewer rounds than some of the early steps.
-
Damn if only their was a low skill way to knock that out in like 3 games...
Big Daddy Wardcliff knocking on your door
-
2 RepliesWith the influx of people crying about the rocket launcher step, I've concocted a new energy drink for hardcore gamers. I call it Rocket Rage Made of 110% casual tears. Get yours today!!
-
Meh, it wasn't that bad.
-
They turned control into comp, probably working as intended.

1 ReplyNext ib quest b like land 50 percision kills with a rocket launcher
-
1 ReplyI got it done for two characters, but I'm spent. I'm not going bother with the 3rd. That last step took more time than the sum of the other quest steps. I had to use Wardcliff Coil.
-
5 RepliesOr... Hear me out... They will because it's their game. How about you go into game development and make the perfect game then?

3 RepliesI wish they would just make quest kill based. Allow players to use the guns they like. Just get a set amount of kills, captures, pickups, etc... Sure they could make the kill goal total the same as the whole quest worth. Or they could even add 50. At least we could play the way we want then though. I'm all for diversity but it shouldn't be at the cost of fun. Make all guns good and viable. Then people will use more variety.

For once the truth failed me. It flew past a warlock and blew up but didn't kill him. HOW the warlock was in the blast radius. And everytime I was about to grab heavy ammo I got blown up, killed by super. Shot gunned. Teabagged to death. Died of annoyance by the fact my teammates dont bother capturing zones. Dying from saladin telling me to do better and that I suck. I'm pretty sure shaxx himself thinks this isnt a quest but more of a form of torture. I almost broke my controller due to all the rage. I feel this step is the worst. Every other step was annoying but doable. This one is a stupid game of chance. And bungie ruined iron banner with this, it encourages hogging the heavy ammo and ignoring zones.

Yep, shady tactics to keep us playing... they truly have no shame.
