Bungie Automatically signed into wrong account
Hi,
A bit of background.
I have had a Steam Account with Destiny 2 installed on it for about 1 year now.
I recently purchased an Xbox One and also bought Destiny 2.
I am trying to enable cross save onto my Xbox.
As I was trying to enable it, Bungie decided that the microsoft account that my browser was logged into was the account to be linked to my Bungie account. The website automatically input my "professional" email address to be used instead of my "gaming" email address. This isn't what I want. I have a separate Xbox Live email that I use.
I have not fully activated the cross save feature because of this. So I'm hoping that this is reversible. *EDIT* I have not authenticated the Xbox Live account. *End EDIT* I've been reading that people have to wait 90 days in order for this issue to be fixed but being that I did not manually input my email address I am hoping that is not the case.
If anyone has any input on this, please let me know.
I have already removed the "Linked account" access through my microsoft account but the link still appears to be in effect via the Bungie website.

1 ReplyThe browser automatically logged you into the account, either with a saved session or credentials. If you try to set up Cross Save using a Private/Incognito window, or a browser you don't normally use, you should be able to avoid repeating the same thing happening next time.

1 ReplyBecause you have not yet activated Cross Save, the 90-day period doesn't apply. You just need to login to bungie.net via your Steam credentials, go to profile settings > accounts and linking, and from there you can unlink the wrong Xbox account and link the right one.
