Network manipulation and cheaters
Here's an idea Bungie how about u actually ban these cheating/ hacking scum, and none of this shit about 1 month, account ban them. delete there shit and show them how frustrating it can be to lose no matter the piss poor excuse they can use, i have about an hour of saved video/ recorded clips of these cheating pricks, and some even showing my network strength, and this is from someone that has 8 Mbps on an average day, so if my shitty net is strong enough to hold a solid connection what the hell is going on.
you say you care about the communities feedback, let's see u show it and see u name and shame these people and ban there accounts

1 ReplyThe cheating is rampant! Match after match I am being defeated before the player shows up on the map. Then miraculously in a second they have crossed the map and are standing over my body? Unloading whole clips into their face and no damage. Bungie wont do a damn thing because they are a corporate entity that doesnt care about the quality of the content just the revenue stream it generates.

Yesterday in IB I "caught" one of these dishonorable creatures and after blasting a whole mag in his face his only "answer" was giving me a "feed the pigeons" emote. The audacity in the face of no consequence is second to none, not only in Destiny 2. I just don´t get this Zeitgeist as I´m a gamer with almost 40 years of gaming XP. There is no better feeling than having "earned" a win, and even if you loose going out with the feeling that you gave your best. I don´t get how you can enjoy a win knowing that you do not deserve it, shows a lot about the psychology of cheaters. I have zero tolerance for cheating and these people even don´t have the slightest idea or feeling about what they´re doing to gaming as a medium of having fun. It´s like pooping in a public pool on a hot summer day, destroying fun for all of us. A perma ban is the only answer!

4 RepliesThe game is free to play, that means hackers and cheaters can create an infinite amount of accounts and do as they please. It wont matter how many times you ban their account, they will just make a new one.

That is blatant cheating and there shouldn’t be a temporary ban it should be permanent and made public on the forum so the community knows bungie is doing something. Just like courts, verdicts and sentences are made public.

2 RepliesI have posted and posted vids and have probably at least an hours worth of 5 minute clips saved. But for me to post them here I get in trouble naming and shaming and I get banned from here for trying to expose cheaters. If you put them on twitter or reddit they just get ignored by Bungie. There is a way to report them but in no way do I feel like they ever get looked at. That being said the main thing other than a steady connection you need to look at is ping and packet loss. I test mine pretty much every single day and my computer along with my router have the capability of showing me ping and packet loss. Even when I am on my console I can pull up my connections through my router.

Well they actually do permanent bans. Evidence is the why am I ban post we get in the help section. Now bungie cant get them all and let's face that fact. Now some might never get ban but it isnt because of bungie but the players. I wouldn't be amazed if the reports are flooded. Most will be false reports and the real ones are buried within them. Either way the process could take time.

Bungie are piss weak when it comes to handing our bans to obvious cheats. Getting dossed is common occurrence because there are no repercussions

But cheaters in pvp is insane sometimes have feeling to quit game. I never cheated but i played lot pvp sometimes i get piip sounds i think i have to close game soon for good. They put progression to pvp but very accurate ppl who cheat is insane how they 1 shot you and tehy know where players are and kill you behind. In iron banner i not faced this madness. They have to integrate anticheat on startup. To prevent cheating.

Also consider that some players are running between 100 and 1000Mbps. 2) if you play PC, it’s normal to face cheaters. Bungie added cross save so that many boomers could go to PC and cheat, then cross play to consoles and act as heroes. They got baited into paying several times for the same game only so they finally get some emblems or goodies. Worked great. 3) if you have significant evidence of network manipulation, make a nice reddit, Twitter and YouTube video, add appropriate tags and link it here or anywhere we can see. I don’t doubt you, in fact I’d like to give it my view. 4) Bungie is not responsible for users manipulating networks. They can ban them, but cheaters aren’t always stupid, so many get through the net, bc Bungie needs legal evidence before they act, or the backlash would be very negative. 5) I’m sorry you live bad experiences. However you are responsible for playtime. If you look for quality pvp with balanced teams, then chances are you’re simply not playing destiny.

9 RepliesBungie has banned so many innocent players since d2’s launch it forced a lot of people on the higher end of the skill spectrum to stop playing for fear of being falsely banned. Average joe doesn’t understand since it hasn’t happened to them so they deny it’s possible and bungie lol they don’t even have someone to talk to, just the ninjas whose comments to those falsely banned at the time were more or less sucks to be you.

6 RepliesThey actually do ban cheaters. The problem is, now that the game is free to start, they just come right back with a new account, and get right back to it. It's at the point where it isn't just PC anymore, it's really starting to infect console as well. I generally stay out of PvP, but had to suffer through two matches of Supremecy to get the 25 kills for the Saint-14 quest. Don't ask me how I got 25 kills in two matches. I am absolutely terrible at PvP. All I know is, I did what I needed to and I'm pretty sure that people on both sides were cheating in both of those matches.

13 RepliesBungie cannot ban all the players that manipulate and cheat. Only a small percent can be banned - If they did ban everyone that did that - there would not be enough players in PVP for the matchmaking system to work. The matchmaking system already struggles to find a balanced match and that dont even work right. That is because there are not enough players in Crucible events to find a balanced match.
